Alot of mixed feelings concerning my post on here about the Price boys. Im not saying them as head coaches or ne thing, just assistants. I know a few people that have said they wouldn't like it so I want to see what everyone's opinions are on it. Would you or would you not want them as assistants?

I voted yes, becouse we have to have something new for the program. Some fans would disagree but you can't please everybody. I don't believe they will ever get the chance here. It makes to much sense, and we all know the school board doesnt like to make sense!

Well they are great players but they have never coached, so y is this a question. They have played for years so I know they would know the game.

I think they would make great position coaches at this time. I do not think either is ready to be a coordinator yet, at least on the high school level. If they ended up at one of the middle schools maybe.

just because someone has "played the game" does not necessarily make them "qualified to coach"... but it helps in some cases... in this case I personally think it does... the Price boys are highly intelligent and should have a good knowledge of the game.. but must one have played the game in order to be "qualified to be a coach"? not necessarily... do you think Lou Holtz was an outstanding college football player? probably not... I am not even so sure that he was a high school football player or not, let alone a standout football player... so how does one become "coaching material? again, I think the price boys would make good coaches with possible head coaching jobs in their future if that is what they desire..

The Price Twins would probably make great coaches & I would have to think that they might be able to influence kids to stay at CC because they can let the kids know (as good as they are) they didnt go anywhere that they couldnt have gone from CC. They did what they felt was best for them at time in their lives. I wish them luck. & you are right coach, playing might give you an advantage but I know plenty of great players that wouldnt know the first thing about coaching. Look at Charlie Weis at Notre Dame, he never played college football & he wears a Super Bowl Ring.

I consider myself a pretty good coach and I never played a down past the middle school level.

Their youth and energy combined with positive Christian values are enough for me; not to mention their breadth of knowledge for their respective positions and love for the game. If they want to come home they would be a great addition to the staff, and if CC won't pay them I can think of a few schools up north that pay their assistants 7000 dollars for the money sports (football/basketball) that would love to have them.

Well they are great players but they have never coached, so y is this a question. They have played for years so I know they would know the game. They assisted the last couple of summers with Jacksboro and the players responded very well to them. They may be the answer on offense that the Cougars have been so badly lacking. That and a few 250 lb offensive linemen!

Yea linemen are at a premium in Campbell County. Outside of a couple they really have no size up front compared to past years.

What about this suggestion.....What about hiring 2 young assistants that are already coaching football at the high school level. Rodney Ellison is coaching at Bearden. Sean Jesse at Cumberland Gap, They were proven winners at JMS, and both are doing well at their respective schools.

I'd love to see those guys together again. But I don't see them reuniting at Campbell County.

What would be some of the obstacles these 2 are facing to reunite as a unit. They worked very well. I think the two would make great co-head coaches somewhere in high school football.

You already gave the main reason. They are both doing well at their respective schools. Both want to be head coaches someday. Coaching at CCHS isn't exactly a bright spot on the resume. That being said I loved working with them together and seperately. They are the second best coaching combo I ever worked with. You can guess the first.
