Hey Zooker, thanks for the compliment. I loved coaching with sean He took the defense & I took the offense & we worked great together. I am very happy where I am at right now, but sean & I talk about reuniting all of the time. As far as for when & where I guess only God knows. Oh by the way for those of you that know me you know I love offense. Well I served as defensive coordinator the last two freshman games. We won at Karns 21-8 & at Sevier Co. 12-0.

I think once that they have turned hteir back on the program they should not be allowed back. Davey Gillum is the head coach at Scott Co. He was one of the original I-75 heros (the group that started the transferring to AC) I wouldnt want him back either. Now if it happened to be 15-20 yrs. from now & they have proven themselves as coaces that would be a different story. As for now the transfer issues still hit to close to home. As for the Jessie/Ellison duo. That would be a great idea! Both of them may be to young to be a great head coach but one of them as the OC & one of them as a DC under an experienced head coach. Maybe, Johnny Bruce or someone that has been around coaching for a while. Now that could work. & Ellison may be at Bearden but anyone who knows him knows that he bled blue & orange.

True they haven't proven thmeselves at all, but I also said they didn't leave b/c of football, it was b/c of bball. I'm not a big fan of them transferring at all, but I think they know quite a bit about the game and could possibly help out the team. One reason is b/c I think they have a better chance than ne one else b/c they are from CC. This is their original home and they love it here. I look at it this way, it definately couldn't hurt ne thing.

Well, pressman it is ironic that you mention Johnny Bruce. I played under Johnny at CCHS & began my coaching career under him at Jacksboro Middle, then he handed the program over to myself & panther coach while he was the AD at JMS. Yeah, I was a true cougar I never got caught up in the politics down there. It didnt matter who the coach was. I played for Steve Pebley, kept stats for Kesselring & kept stats for Wells before moving on to the radio. But Pebley was my favorite. Even after the politics stuck the knife in his back, I didnt like it but I still wanted to see the program succeed!

Matt and Justin have forgotten more football than what most of you all know... Do you not think that as a college Qb you would know football? For any of you that disagree keep going and watching UT on Saturdays and stating Captain Obvious statements. Wells is a great coach, but with the help of the Prices who knows where this program could go...Yes they went to AC, and that probably screwed me the most, but it worked out for the best. I hear statements about Sean Jessie and Rodney Ellison about coming to CC and coaching... ARE YOU SERIOUS? Thank you for your time.

Thank you joshjames2. I agree with ou 100%. I talked to them on SR. day over in Maryville and they said they planned on making there decision over Chrismas break. They said they havent ruled CC out, but they would rather Wells approach them instead of them approaching him.

I played at JMS with the Prices and for Rodney Ellison and think they would all make good coaches at CCHS. Rodney was a good offensive mind then and I am sure he has gotten better since then. The Prices were great players and will be great coaches somewhere.

Hey the debate is not if they would be good coaches but if they should coach here, they would be good no doubt. I like Mike bring in all of those guys they would all bring some good things to CCHS!

Im not real sure but Im startin to think that Dwayne25 & joshjames2 are datin the price twins with some of their comments. I mean apparently dwayne goes & watches more Maryville games than UT games. Come on guys, get over it. If a couple of 23 year old kids are the saviors for Campbell County football then we are in trouble. I mean after all the good coaches we have had including the one we have now, these guys are going to turn it around. Face it there is just not enough talent to keep up with the schools we play & Chris Johnson graduated. So unless these kids have a magic TSSAA card that moves us own to 2A then we dont have a prayer. Wait better make it single A so we dont have to get embarrassed by Alcoa!

I guess by that same token I am dating Rodney and Sean. There is alot of talent at that high school, maybe not enough to compete at the 5A level all the time, but it is there. The trick is getting it out of the halls and into the weightroom and eventually onto the field. That is where we truly fail at CCHS. I would love to see Sean, Rodney, the Twins, Marlow, and Demott coaching somewhere together. That would be enough to get me back on the sidelins.

What in the world is this about? I would love to see CC succeed, Wells is a fine coach the program just needs to get the kids out & get the #s up. Then they may have a chance to succeed, thats where a new young coach may be able to help. Its up to Wells to hire his staff & many times it depends on if there is a teaching position open in the area of study that the coach has. Im fortunate to be working with a very good staff here at Bearden & learning quite a bit here & I am very HAPPY where I am at, I have not "forgotten more football than most people will ever know" thats something that guys that have coached for years upon years can say. As for us younger guys just getting started in the profession, if we think that we already know it all we will never succeed. I learn new ways of doing things all of the time. Thank you for your time!

Every staff needs some youth and energy. Combine those two things with upstanding morals, solid character, brains, and football sense you will get an excellent coach. This debate is foolish...heck even Jo Pa learns something new every day. For a coach at any level to say he/she has nothing to learn is a farse. Also I don't think anyone is saying the Price boys would "save" the program, but they would certainly not hurt it any. They would simply be a good addition if they were interested. I have known these boys since kindergarten and have been close friends with them since 3rd grade and I honestly don't know two more solid examples for young men to follow that are so close to their own age...i.e. 23 years old.
