I agree with everything you just said Redhound, all of us involved in this profession are in it for two reasons #1 the love of the game & #2 we like working with kids that have a desire to play the game. A coach is only as strong as his assistants. The Prices would be fine coaches, you cant hold something against someone that happened back when they were what 16 years old. I know one thing if I was the coach at CCHS I would hire them, I would hire you, I dont care how old or young someone is if they can bring something to the table their worth the hire. & Mike thanks for the compliment.

Nothing better than having a couple of players comeback and coach the team that they jumped ship on. I read earlier where someone said "they'll keep kids in the community." That one made me have a little chuckle.

What I think is funny is that the same people who are saying that are the same ones who are now saying that the "7" should have just left if they were unhappy about the coaching situation on current team. Now that is funny!

ive known the prices since elementary school played football with them from 7-11th grade year. they bailed out on us our senior year. i felt betrayed. i dont know if they can coach or not . i know i would not support the program if they commit this sort of hypocrsy.

I've lurked on this board for some time now so I thought I'd weigh in on this one. No way! They turned their back on CCHS and transferred to Anderson County, so what makes anybody think that they would keep kids from transferring out of the county as beardencoach mentioned? Nothing.

Well you all can suit yourselves...that is the reason CC will remain in the bottom rung of HS sports...people hold useless grudges. I would love to get them on my staff, and any high school in East TN will be luck to get either one of them not to mention both of them. They are fine young men with good character and a wealth of football knowledge and experience.

yep, useless grudges... i commented earlier as a joke. I'm sure they can come in and make great changes at the high school. Let them work there way up as assistants, if they want that, and then maybe we can have the first twin dual head coaches at our high school....

I don't think anyone is proposing they be head coaches right off the bat...and they certainly do not want that either. They are humble enough to acknowledge they are not ready for that yet. I just find it comical that folks in CC enjoy the status quo the way they do. They seem to love mediocrity. Personally I don't think they would coach there anyway, but I am comenting for the sake of conversation.

They certainly are, and I hope it is somewhere they can win. It is hard for a coach to get out of a losing situation into a better one...i.e. Kesselring. I really don't think they are interested in CC because of the money for one, and the local attitudes as well.

You have a good point, but they old saying "once bitten twice shy" hangs in the memory of those who were affected by it. Another reason CC has always struggled is because of the general lack of committment on the part of the general population. When there is no work ethic and people are used to a handout they become complacent. It starts at home. Parents afraid to let their kids play because of fear of injury, not instilling hard work values into their kids, kids not wanting to play because they don't like the coach, yada, yada, yada. What the kids don't understand is that in life you are always going to work with, and for, people you don't particularly like.

First off, they didnt leave bc of Wells, it was bc of a different coach. I agree with Redhound, its all about grudges. You have to let them go when there is someone that can help the program. Either by trying to turn the program around or by getting the athletes that r running the halls onto the playing field. I think high school kids would listen to them alot more than a guy that could be their dad. Especially when they r only about 8 yrs older.
