Quick comment on the fine folks at Duke. Several years ago, way back when my hero Little Bobby Hurley was playing, a hard foul was applied by Wake Forrest late in a close game. The student section started the required Bull Sh** chant. The next home game, the university president and coach K addressed the assembled students and explained that such language would not be tolerated. At a point late in the same game, the Duke students chanted after a particular questionable call, We Doth Protest. This has taken the place of the BS chant heard in lesser institutions arenas after such calls. Just remember, it is better to insult them by making them use Webster.

i played for THE GREAT VIC KING he sure doesn't deserve the job either. Now after saying that , iI do believe there needs to be a change at the end of the season. And we as taxpayers should demand a paycut for Blevins and the other two, and pay a true coach to come in and bring back the tradition this school so needs back. AND THATS ONE OF THE "BEST" BOYS BASKETBALL PROGRAMS IN EAST TENNESSEE.

I mean really, if she makes $120,000 a year and her flunkies probably make $85,000 you could take $50,000 from her and $40,000 from the other two and pay for a good coach. And also give Coach Wells and Coach Chapman more, BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT MORE THAN THEM THREE DO!!!!!!!

But, if that rumor is true on this board that seale may be packing his desk up soon then I think it would be something he would consider. He is from here and at one time would have loved to have coached many of his middle school players in high school. Many have said that no one would want to come here to coach, but if this is "hometown" that means alot. Also he never had the kinds of problems discussed on this board. AND he was a winner. |

We can only hope.....I am positive that Vic would be overjoyed to be back at home and would probably jump at the chance. He is a hardnosed coach, but he does care about the players and they liked him from what i've heard. I also know there's not a snowballs chance in ---- as long as Mr. Seale is still there!!!!!!! Did you all know Gary Seale burnt LaFollette Middle Schools championship banners when Vic left. Yep, burnt them. That was real grown-up and professional, wasn't it. Talk about mean..... |

Is that really true that he burnt them? I was on the 97 championship team. I worked at LMS last year and I asked the principal at the time if he knew where the banners were at. He obviously didn't have a clue or care to where they were at.
