I hope it did not sound as if I was bashing any kids. I was only pointing out how Pierce can change his own rules to suite himself. At least two were either kicked off or walked out and are now playing. (This seson) As far as those who played last year, well that was last year and this is a new year. I do not see anything wrong with that.
I have no sons involved in this current situation so I guess I have no dog in this fight. In the recent past I have had. What many of the young posters do not understand is the feelings the community has who follow sports. They were too young to understand the real reason Pierce was even asked to coach again. It was not to put in place the best coach availible, it was to keep from offering the position to someone else. This was not Pierces fault. It is just that this is the result of that action. We parents only want (and wanted ) the best person for the job.
A small group of about 4 or so made and still make the decisions based on who will be their "yes men". You know Ray/Heatherly/Seale and now Lawson. This is not the place to start all that and no names but I will mention one. Peblee, as this crowd screwed him first and then went to work on others. I only mention his name because he already mentioned it himself on here. This group of parents were just not willing to sit back and accept this quietly. Their little political games are ruining their childrens only years of high school ball. I am just shocked it did not happen years earlier.
Being taxpayers who fund this system, why do we (they) not have any say about how their tax money and school system are run?

I get what ur saying. I agree totally except that they should have done it at the start of the year or the end and not hurt and try to take down anybody that didnt have a dog in the fight including the honor of CCHS and its community. They knew the coaching style when they joined the team. The coach not coaching the way these parents want is not grounds enough to screw everyone in campbell county to get their way.

I havent heard anyone dissn the boys at school. But I have heard most of us dissn the adult or adults that put our homees in this spot. They didnt deserve this and neither do the new ones. Just cuz wr not adults doesnt mean we cant see. I do appreciate ur opinions though.

Coaches should be good role models. BUt the ultimate role model should be the parents. In this case they have taught their children how to lie, decieve, and let down not only their other teammates, but the school and the county. Our distinguished leaders (lol) really blew it this time. No matter what the outcome with Coach Pierce, they have lost. How can a preacher lead such anitcs which has caused nothing but disorder. He knew the situation before he allowed his child to enter and he has worked ever since to get rid of Coach Pierce. CC leaders in the past have not cared how many wins a team gets but who was putting pressure on the school board...hopefully this will end. The right thing to do was for the boys to turn in their uniforms if they didnt like the way the team was run. But this was not their call it was ARNY BABIES. and the older half of THE LEGACY. haha

Simple fact, you DO NOT cut a coach mid-season, all it sets is the tone that ANY coach will get ganked at ANY time. It is one thing to suck up a season and then rid the program of the coach once the season is over, but to fire a coach once in the season is paramount to suicide. The biggest problem is that it tells prospective hires that you will cut a coaches throat at the drop of a hat. Good and talented coaches will only go to a place where fair employment practices are adhered to. I have no basis to defend the basketball record of any coach, but I will point out that offense is often dictated by the ability to play defense in the transition.
