well bigblue koodos for some positive statements from you way to go!!! as for the ignorance you have experienced on this board; you have to be completely convinced it is your own. just reread all your comments. self conciet and arrogance can sometimes blind ones own perception to be considered ignorant of oneself. by the way how are you so convinced that i may not also have years of coaching experience but you choose to call me ignorant? interesting comment about ignorance. by the way greyfox you seem to know alot but i do agree with bigblue stop the name calling!!!!!!! now that is ignorance. Nothing has changed about my statements, I call an ace an ace! The good thing about being an American is that you have a right to your opinion just like I do. For you to say from my postings that I have self conceit and arrogance is your right to your opinion. I'm sorry that you read them that way. You never said whether or not you had any coaching experience to back up your statements. I don't remember specifically calling you ignorant either!

owlsBBmama im not trying to be rude but it seems that most parents feel that their child is being "done wrong" if they dont get to play. That is exactly what makes the coaching job so hard. It is wonderful that u think your child is a good player and im sure all the other parents feel the same way about theirs. Im just saying that just because a child did good one year doesnt mean they will do good in the future. This entire team is talented from what i can see and if the parents are going to argue and complain everytime their child doesnt get enough playing time, it will tear the team apart. We should support our teammates and our coach no matter what! That is what will show if you are a true owls fan. If your blood still runs orange when your child is on the bench, then you have the right to discussion.

If your blood still runs orange when your child is on the bench, then you have the right to discussion. You see you don't know the whole story. It has nothing to do with he isn't getting to play......and bout doing good one year and not the next ....he has always been the go to man over the years. And I don't just speak as a parent...I've coached for bout 10 yrs now...I've coached in the school system...Jr.Pro...as well as AAU. I've dealt with parents....kids...refs....winning...losing....I've had parents down my throat cause their kids didn't get enough playing time..(they thought)....I've been blessed with the parents in the stands that yell and don't have a clue from a foul to a walk...but they think they do!!! But I have NEVER done a kid wrong because of something personal. Like someone said...coaches hold the players future in their hands!!! I have a responsibility to my kids...that they have the best childhood and the best education. So as a mom do I set back and just because everyone thinks they are a coach....let his future be torn apart?

I am so thrilled that Coach Dotson came here and posted a comment. Not only because of his attitude about it but he had nothing to hide........... he used his name! That shows what kind of person LMS has as a coach. Honest, open, and has the backbone to stand up for what he believes in. He has been a great supporter of the kids. When a coach will encourage his players (whether they are on the bench or getting the playing time) he earns their respect and he builds their confidence. Jason may not have the years of experience that other coaches have but he has something not many of them have and that is a good relationship with his players. Not only is he their coach but most of them consider him their friend. GOOD JOB COACH! YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE SUPPORT OF THOSE WHO KNOW YOU AND HAVE KIDS PLAYING FOR YOU! Don't let anything or any comments discourage you. YOURE DOING FINE!

My oldest son is 18 now in college..he played all 3 years at LMS was the Capt. his 8th grade year. All my kids have attended LMS. I have went to almost every basketball game played there in the last 8 yrs. My daughter played her 3 yrs. there. [glow=orange,2,300] I am a true LMS OWLS fan through and through. [/glow] But when it comes right down to it...I'm going to do what is best for mine!!! and when all you that are to young to have kids get older and realize that....you will understand!!! And you will see things different!!! Basketball is a team sport!!!!....not saying mine should be in the spotlight!!! But I am saying if mine is being treated unfair.......not going to happen! First things first OWLS 3-0 AGAINST THREE STRONG TEAMS. For anyone to be negative about anything speaks more ignorance than anything. So for things to be going this great so far this season and you can still find a reason to complain, then there is only one explanation: YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR CHILD'S PLAYING TIME. Well let me share some good news with you; there is wonderful league called Junior Pro. But you see this is LMS basketball and the objective is to win, and that's what is happening. And as for you Jacksboro lovers they have two big guys who should average 20+ points a game with the right coaching, but I think they're scoring about 6. GO OWLS GO SUPPORTING PARENTS GO COACHES Don't change a thing the team looks great

"WAY TO GO DEFENDER". Sounds like alot of unhappy people You know, alot of our kids sat the bench last year, but I honestly do think that Coach Dotson is trying to do better with that this year. As for the comments about Jacksboro, come on people, we really should support LaFollette and Jacksboro both. I am definitely an LMS fan but should we really call Jacksboro a circus? There is alot of good kids on that team. I know some of them personally. But one thing I want to ask, when did Billy Wilson get l0+ years of coaching experience? (Maybe Jr. Pro). I only know of one year elementary school coaching and this year middle school?

And another thing defender...ignorance means a lack of knowledge.....which I have plenty of!!!....And to say they have played 3 strong teams this year......they have played 3 teams with strong reputations!!! I've seen Clinton and Robertsville many, many times.....and by far this isn't anywhere near the past teams they have had!!!

[glow=red,2,300]You see that wonderful league...I've coached in it!!![/glow] LOL I know the coaches at Lafollette very well, and I also know that they have no personal issues with no one that would effect a players playing time. It's simply having the best five players on the court at the right time, and it's obviously working 3-0. My first advice to you if you want to protect you child would be to quit hiding behind a name to do your complaining and go ask the coaches what the problem is. Because I assure you that they would give you a quick and simple explanation. And I can tell you that if your child was deserving of a spot on the court then he would be out there. So if you feel that his future is being torn apart, maybe he needs to work a little harder. And I'm sure that your child was the "go to guy" for so many years, but is it the coaches fault that he's not anymore? I love children (yes even jacksboro's) I would love to see eveyone one of them happy and being the super star, but some time the cookie crumbles to the dis-satisfaction of the players the coaches and in your case the parents. Seriously, things are looking up for the program and this is rediculous that this message board is taking place. We should all be happy for the team the coaches and the school. And if your child is apart of this team, then what are you teaching him by complaining about the TEAM he's apart of.

Hello LMS basketball fans. I am so glad that this site was unknown to so many people during football season. Reading all these brilliant posts with comments from so many talented folks lets me know that there will never be a shortage of coaches in line for any vacancies. The following comment was made to me at the RMS-LMS game following a substitution of about 3 players at one time and I quote "what is he doing?". This comment was made by someone with more coaching experience than anyone to have posted this far. My son was asked to play after being cut last year, for whatever reason, and it sure wasn't because he wasn't good enough. I, and he agreed, that it would take him some time to get into basketball shape, there is a difference from football. He can contribute and help this team given the opportunity. I could let my16 yr old daughter coach this team and win. The talent is there and they are winning but could the wins be more decisive. If a team is buried by the end of the third quarter you have more time to play the bench and evaluate your younger players or work on finding some team chemistry that would be beneficial down the road. There are some on here who have been around basketball for many years who have older children and have been true LMS supporters. The johnny-come-lately of you should be a little more respectful of those who have put multiple children through the system and program of "Lafollette Basketball". I will be holding down the "Amen corner" for any who wish to discuss this futher because this seems a bit trivial and true talent will rise to the top. About the only thing left is for someone to say "my dad can whip your dad" and that is sad to see when we should be supporting the kids!

Obviously some people are so much smarter than others, it is hard for them to figure out that there might be more than one person per IP addresss.
