Well, looks like there's a lot of interest in our basketball team this year. That is good. Ive been sitting back reading some of these posts and find myself wondering, "why all the negatives and not the positives". We are 3-0 and beginning to come together as a basketball team. All the hard work from the summer is paying off and ALL my players are good kids that have tremendous work ethic, 7th and 8th graders alike. By no means am i perfect but i do try and be fair to the boys. I just hope that everyone understands that no matter what. I do wonder about some of the "favorites" comments. I do not have favorites but "earned confidence" in certain players just like any other coach in any other sport. In conclusion, I am beggining to develop confidence in other players as they become more familiar with our style of play. Thanks for some of your comments and to the others, I hope if you have any problems with me you come and see me anytime because I would be glad to answer any of your questions that you cant figure out. Coach Dotson...Go Owls! Hey coach, sorry that you have been exposed to so many ignorant statements. I completely understand what you are going through but it seems there are several people on this board that don't know what it's like to set on a bench and try to work out playing time. Balancing that can create havoc, especially when it comes to parents and relatives of the players. The pressure to win and try to unify a team are more than enough to deal with, without having to deal with that. Good luck with the rest of the season and I will be there cheering on the Owls!! |

well bigblue koodos for some positive statements from you way to go!!! as for the ignorance you have experienced on this board; you have to be completely convinced it is your own. just reread all your comments. self conciet and arrogance can sometimes blind ones own perception to be considered ignorant of oneself. by the way how are you so convinced that i may not also have years of coaching experience but you choose to call me ignorant? interesting comment about ignorance. by the way greyfox you seem to know alot but i do agree with bigblue stop the name calling!!!!!!! now that is ignorance.
