I wonder if some of the discussion in this thread could be one of the contributing factors on why the program remains in the state that it always has been??

If anyhting a discussion like this should motivate the program to improve.

That could be. It could also do the opposite. I think it'd be great if there were this many comments in a positive thread. If the players read this stuff, I hope they can put it away and not let it bother them. Being outside the CCHS program, I'd like to hear some positive stuff about the players.

You need to have some positive stuff going on to get some positive discussion about it. As far as most people can see, there is very little positive going on with sports in Campbell County.
I am not just talking about CCHS, I am talking about all the county middle and high schools. I know there must be some bright spots somewhere, but they are few and far between it would seem.

Even we don't get skunked every week. I'm just saying maybe we could talk about some highlights too. Even if there is only one. I'm not saying this thread should not be here. I don't think we should ignore the gorilla on the sofa, but there are kids doing good things at all of the schools and they deserve a pat on the back. Maybe they are few and far between, but the kids deserve some recognition, don't they?

That is why I posted a disclaimer about most/all of the discussion on this board on pg. 6 I think...it pretty much tells kids there will be discussion about scheme etc...but it is just that opinions.

Some more of the Kool-Aid drinkers are becoming former Kool-Aid drinkers and getting in to the water.
They are jumping off the wagon as we speak (so to speak).

Owash, I think your kool-aid has a stale taste, you let this thread go way to far....

First of all, of course everyone knows it is not my decision just how far a thread is let go. I have no control over that.
Secondly, I think it is still a viable thread, because over the next fews weeks, there will be a lot of folks that get weened off the coaching staff at CCHS.
The dissension gets a little stronger after every lose. If the team had of lost by a little bit to Sevier County, it might have been different. But getting thrashed as they did, the fan base has become more intolerable to this coaching staff.
And the next few weeks most likely will be more of the same, unfortunate as it is for the kids.

As a matter of fact, over the last 5 years, I think I have been to every school in the county with the exception of White Oak.
I would say that is probably more than most folks have done.

What about this year, you ask? Well, you do not have to go anywhere to hear that I think only Jellico High is having a decent year so far. The middle schools are not as good as they were last year. I have not heard that any of the schools in any of the fall sports is doing exceptionally well. If you know something the rest of us do not, please enlighten everyone. I'm sure that most parents have NOT been all over the county watching teams play. With the small number of kids that are involved in the sports programs from elementary on up, the % number would be small, not MOST. Also, I do not think you have ever seen where I said that I know more about anything than anybody. I just give my opinions based on what I know. That is it, nothing more.
