The best coach that this County has had is JOE CARSON. After leaving this county he coached at Oak Ridge, Bell County KY, Anderson County. Allof the places he coached were winners and kids went to college.

We have no intentions of giving him up in Union County!!!! Your loss is definitely OUR gain!!! I guess the old saying is true.... "don't know what you've got til it's gone!!" Thanks Campbell County and to that squirrel of a Principal you all have for sending him our way!!

What kind of season are they having in Union County? I haven't kept up with them enough to know. Vic does seem like a pretty good coach, but I don't ever see him coaching at Campbell County. I thought Vic was at Oneida at one time, what happened there?

I think coach BILLY WILSON is the best coach in the county. He's taught tha JMS Eagle boys how to play better ball.I Disagree with anyone who says he is a bad coach!I mean look how far he brought the Eagles [they were supposed to not be as good as last year] and they turned out to be a great team. CONGRATS on sub-states i was there cheering the Eagles on!!!!

Billy did an outstanding job with a young team that really came together.

How can he be the best when A: he is at the middle school level, and B: he lost to LaFollette 3 times? I mean I would think Dotson would get some credit for keeping an undefeated season together.

Oh Billy isn't the best. But he did exceed any expectations for the season.

Billy is a good coach. He did do well with a young team from the two games I saw them play. LaFollette is a better team and Dotson seems to be coaching them pretty darn well. I think we will see him move up to the high school level in about 8-10 years after he has earned his middle school chops.

It is very hard to move up from middle school to high school after a long career at the lower level. I do not feel that there are any coaches in CC right now, other than Steve Rutherford, at the middle school level that would ever be suitable head high school coaches. If that is the case then athletics in CC may never rebound. Coaches can only offer so much; then their level of expertise starts to run low. I mean that is like saying a H.S. coach can move on to the next level after some success, and this rarely happens.

I think that Billy Ann could go to the HS and coach track and in her first year have it totally turned around. My son ran track at the HS (in college now) for about 2 weeks....he was very frustrated with the lack of structure and discipline.

Billy Ann is a rare breed of coach she has been my pick from the start on this thread.

She does a good job...how long has she been @ LMS? Why hasn't she gotten a shot at the H.S. level? Who is the coach now at CC? I would have thought she'd get a shot when Bill Higg retired and moved to GA after my Soph. year, but she didn't.
