Keep Pierce, Sometimes you have to face it. The coach can only do some much and the rest has to come from the players love of the game.

The ones that quit had alot of talent but not as much as they have been told they have. This new group may not have as much talent but seem more athletic.

just wondering how many people her have actually seen both coug teams (new and old) play to determine their athletic skills. I have personally watched both for more than 7 years. I think they are equally athletic and skilled. ALL should have been playing. Those are the numbers we needed.

I say keep Coach Pierce unless one of the super sevens parents want to give it shot. It is easy to set up in the stands and coach, it is a little different when you are on the sidelines.

What difference does it really make unless you have kids who play or will play in the future. If you are satisfied with winning 5-6 games a year then let him stay. If someone new comes in and produces wins with the same talent we have had then the change should have been made long ago. If they come in and the team still loses with that same talent then we all learned something. Cougar basketball was something to be feared in the past, why can't it be that way again? As it stands now every team we play wants us for their homecoming game. It sucks for the kids but they continue to come out and play. Parents standing behind the program is what makes it stronger, people confronting the program causes division and that is not a good thing. This situation should have been handled differently but it is to late for that now. Support the kids for the rest of the year and then bare your teeth in the offseason for your perspective side. Remember this, we are all supporters of the kids regardless of who the coach is.

maybe you are correct lmscoachqb2, it might be time to give somebody else a shot at it. Like you stated this would allow us to see if it is the talent we have or if it is the coaches fault. I think that if you have enough talent you should be able to win more than five or six games a year. Didn't people say that the only reason Pierce one before with Kermit and that group and with Nick Goins and his group was that they were so talented that anybody could win with them? So is this group here not as talented?

I saw both groups play. Both groups are solid. Both groups would fall to the Marlow/Provins/Carroll teams. I think they could hold their own against the other teams.

The ones that quit had alot of talent but not as much as they have been told they have. This new group may not have as much talent but seem more athletic. In regards to this, I say when the season is over take both teams down to the Rec and let them play for fun. Mike Reynolds coaches the seven and Pierce coaches the new team. It would sell out in about 5 minutes. Maybe they could use the high school gym, and use the proceeds to go to some camps or something next year, or buy some new uniforms. haha

That would be an interesting match up. I'd love to photo that one.

Since when did Mike Reynolds become the greatest coach in the county? Not meaning that comment to be "smart". I was away for a few years. Did he do something I don't know about? Please explain.
