I agree the boys played really well considering they're only 6 or so deep. You're right about Corey trying to do too much. Other teams are keyed on him and it puts way to much pressure on him. He's a great athelete, but we need a couple of more players to step up. The tech. foul was called because Green was bleeding and the Ref. (Terri) gave him an opportunity to get him off the floor, Pierce sent him back to the line which was a mistake therefore causing the ref to make the call herself which resulted in the T. Pierce should have gotten him out and cleaned him up, let somebody else shoot the foul shot and then re-enter Green. All and all the boys are doing a good job. Hey at least they are showing up to play.

That ref and Pierce seem to have run-ins every game...I guess every coach has one!!! T2 I can see where you thought Green played scared...i'm not sure we get many boards if he isn't in the game though...he needs to step up durin the rest of the distric games!

Did anyone every think that since these players have only been playing a couple of weeks; hence, they are not in shape to go the whole game yet. They are playing with about everyone for the first half! It will be interesting to see if by the end of the season and they are in better shape what they do. Good Luck guys - you are playing with alot of heart!

That ref is getting uglier and uglier each year. She was just plain ugly when I played, now, she has gained some weight too.

i believe where the confusion was that the inside of jonathan's mouth was bleeding, she saw blood wanted him to go out, of course he was pulling his lip out at the time. they couldn't see it and were questioning him coming out and she t'd them. she was a bit testy at clinton also.

Yeah, I thought the T was alittle dramatic but ya know how it goes when "The Ridge" comes to town. It's hard to get a call. I can't believe all the charges that Minton is getting called on him this year. It seems that the refs all over the county are struggling this season. I have kids at the middle school and we've had one decent called game all season on both ends of the floor. Hang in there cougars, you're a team to be honored that's for sure not matter what the outcome.

Just because you lose on a scoreboard doesn't mean you're a loser by no means. If you play with heart and give everything you possibly could to your sport no matter the score you're a winner. If you can walk away after a contest and know you did your best then how could you be a loser? These kids are out there picking up pieces and trying to form a basketball team and no way are they losers. They in my book are more of what a winner should be than alotof people. Hey at least they are out there supporting their team and school which is not what you can say for some. Next time you look at the score, just check out the game in itself, the real winner may be on the short end.
