i am a parent of one of the seven sinners. There is a lot of wrong info on both sides. My son was miserable with pierce but played anyway with everything he had. Even on the bench. his breaking point was when pierce told him to tell his parent they could kiss his a##. He wanted to quit then but I mistakenly let him stay, my fault not his. i asked him why he wanted to quit now since he knew how pierce was all along, he said "because I am loyal to my team but God, Family, and Ball in that order are my priorities. Len telling us that about our parents just let me know he was undermining you." He went to every level to get someone to TALK with pierce and work this out. Pierce refuses to talk to the players about anything!!! He did not want pierce to change his coaching as much he wanted pierce to listen to the problems. Some kids on the team could talk very badly to the others but when they said something to that player back then they were benched or screamed at. there are alot of other bigger issues also that were going on also. Ask Jim or Gary, they know them and even agreed, but they would do nothing for the kids because they are 1. scared of Len, and 2. got to stick together to keep it calm and quiet in cougarland even if hell is breaking loose underneath. Don't blame the "quitters". This is as much about how the admin is not here for the kids problems with anything not just the sports. If you are in a position of authority over kids and you intimidate and humiliate them that is wrong. Take the fire out of a kids eye and the heart from their chest and you have just miserably failed as an educator and coach. My child KNEW he would never play again and did not believe that pierce would be fired but sacrificed what he loved to do for a purpose. When is the last time as of you on here sacrificed what drove you for a bigger purpose??? I love both the new and the old cougs. The new ones all quit before on Len. God says to beware for your sins will find you out. Everybody involved needs to remember that. I never liked Wells but I didn't ever try and have him removed so please don't go there. Wells at least will communicate with people and even talk\ to a kid when they have problems. someone said on here a village raises the child. Everybody in CC better beware of what they have sown.

I have had plenty of coaches talk way worse to me. You should have had to deal with Don Rawls. That man was the worst misytake in the history of Campbell County coaching.

Wells at least will communicate with people and even talk\ to a kid when they have problems. someone said on here a village raises the child. Everybody in CC better beware of what they have sown. There is always more to the story than everyone hears about. Of course, most people are quick to judge and make their own opinions. I have know most of these players and their parents since they were in elementary school and for all of them to take the action that was taken tells me that something is seriously wrong in the house. Remember, very little credit and most of the blame is always given to the coach. Players from previous years will even admit that Pierce is not the best players coach in the county. To be that hardcore and to speak to your players in that manner really doesn't set the tone to achieve your goals as a team. Who in their right mind would want to play for someone that treats you that way? It doesn't take that type of coaching to get the most of one's ability to come out! I think that no one except for the players involved can actually say what they would do unless they are in that position, can they? Remember, "don't throw rocks when you live in a glass house".

To press you must have three things, a guard that can recognize and adjust to crease the "pancake" coverage off the baseline. This guard is responsible for recognizing the match up and seeing if a third person has slipped to the time line for the long out, and thus pulling out of the press. Not calling off the press places both guards all the way back and sets up a three on three with two wings guarding out on a 2 or 3. The 2/3 has the option of using motion to open the lane or pulling out the opposite side and letting the half court set up. The second skill that must be with the guard setting the press is foot speed and lateral quickness to give a step, step and a half needed to give the illusion of space to the inbounding player. This can be built up and learned by a player, but is very demanding and not all pupils are willing to put the work in. The third skill is the one all the coaches in the stands see and equate as being the hallmark of why we should press more with player X. That skill is quick hands, this is the least of the three, and with a good second man can be over come. Offense is ALWAYS dictated by a teams ability to play defense. A team that has difficulty in transition, is small underneath or lets teams get good looks without forcing at least three passes prior to a shot will need to slow down the pace of play. You can not make like an Arkansas team from the early to mid 90's on offense, with out a defense that forces lots of bad looks from the 15 feet out. Up tempo is predicated on turn overs and the ability of a defense disallowing offenses from crashing the boards. and if that doesnt work then foul them really hard!!! LOL!!!

Meachem 4 heisman- Question are you for a new football coach also. My bet is NO,wonder why?? If we would get one then maybe some people would have more time doing what God WANTED THEM TO DO INSTEAD OF PLAYING COACH. If someone wants to coach let them go to school and become one. mabey the "fab 7" could play for CH church league. then they might look as good as every one makes them out to be.

good point power fighter.. lets make this all easy for everyone. we will have the fab 7 play the new 7 . Coach p can keep the other 3 on the team now that he cut or ran off this season.( doesnt matter cause we all know Pierce only plays 7) odds anyone?
close at first fab 7 by 3 at the half poteet hits 4- 3's in the 4th qtr chapman-- pressure's 5 steals norman-- hits cluth freethrows arnold has 10 assist young has 8 boards young hits 4 fast break layups carrington-- grabs 7 boards and 4 fouls Coach P. goes into his county famous weave offense to preserve a 18 point loss to the fab 7...

well stat guy your not at all right im close friends with a couple players now and former players..let me fill in the gaps of your strategy ive been around ball a while and i thought of how the game would come out....
1. Arnold shoots 1/9 from the field.... 2. Chapman has close to 12 tournovers. 3.Norman misses 5 straight lay ups 4.Carrington gets intentional foul and is thrown out of the game. 5. Defender forces Young to dribble with his left hand and he shuts down

Hey fightthepower I agree with you and if it had not been for MIKE REYNOLDS coaching last year, we would still have Kitts and Cross. Who by the way are playing varsity at AC
