Im not saying he is a terrible man, just that his coaching style does not fit his players and he his unwilling to adapt. Why cant their be a happy median? Why cant he allow for a fast pace game, get a lead, and THEN sit on it? If the game gets close, open it up again.

I just don't understand the timing of the whole situation! I've listened to stories here tonight abut what Pierce done in the past.....well why would people think he would change??? I hope the best for all who go different places....do I agree with how they went about it...no!...but thats between them and the parent! I did see alotta effort tonight with the team! No if the same players play we prolly won't win a game...however this is the team now and I am gonna cheer just as hard for them!

Then said player is considered a traitor when they were actually just trying to better their own situation. If it was just one player then it would not be a problem but we are talking about the future of CC bball, several players in this mix. I would bet my bottom dollar that Pierce knew at the beginning of the season that his end was near. He just tried to push the envelope.

I'll agree with ae2 there, if you knew this was going to happen, you should have acted on it long before now. The longer you wait, the more feelings are going to get hurt. However, it is what it is now and thats what you have to accept it as. Im sure if you ask anyone involved if they would do it differently, they would have done this before the season.

They did leave and they will play elsewhere, at least mine will.
Like I said before they did what Pierce told them to do. and we were not on the coaches back all the time. We were stupid in letting it get this far. For ttwo and a half years I tried as a parent to back him. He didn't raise money for them to go to Georgtown camp two years in a row. That came from the parents out of the AAU money they raised, not campbell counties. Then two of the parents footed the bill this year. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. He was backed by the parents until he made it personal with the kids. All of them.

Zook, lets be honest, with the talent that was on that team, I think you could have had a blind Chimpanzee coaching that team and they would have been just as good. That there was funny, and God bless them little pygmies down there in South America. |

I think he made it personal because he felt personally attacked, whether he was or not I dunno, but as far as money goes I never had to pay for any camp when I was there.
