it would seem that all the statements made recently have been fueled by the passion of being a parent or proclaiming to be the best coach that anyone has ever heard of or seen. these are actually good things if you take out the name calling. every parent will stand up for their kids and if they did not they would not be worth much in my book. what this all boils down to is having confidence in the coach or not. the true test to any parent(yes i am a parent) is to acknowledge their kids talent and be honest about it. when the parents take their pride out of the conversation then the true observations can be seen. my only hope is that true fans will be true fans and also true teachers and coaches of the same school do not slam the other coaches for thier own personal gain. for instance, any other coach of another sport should not by no means whatsoever inject themsleves into any conversations about another coach of the same school because i am sure they would not want that either. also what kind of message is that sending to our kids.good luck to all of you in your endeavours to change, reinvent, degrade, demorallize, tear down, a good person (lms basketball coach) i choose to want no part of it!!!!!!!

It's the sabbath lets all be nice. I just thought of a good hypothetical situtaion to sum things up for lmsmamma and lmscoach I guess even though the colts are undefeated there is some mom and pop duo in the stands complaing that there precious child didnt get to play enough. IF IT AIN'T BROKE DONT FIX IT. Your son is probably in there working hard at practice and when he deserves it he will play. The coaches are coaching to win. They cant worry themselves with how big of a star he was in the past "the go to go" they simply have to award playing time by effort AND whatever is neccassary to win the game. Nevertheless I'm going to try to quit responding to the whinning and complaining, because I hate to be apart of something that the players themselves can come on here and read. I would be embarrased to get on here and see my parents acting like this over playing time when my team was 3-0. Go OWLS Also, I retract my statements about playing three great teams. But they were good teams and big district wins. Be happy. defender? I really don't think your analogy is called for. I have given a lot to this communities kids. And lmscoachqb2 has given even more. He has coached football at LMS for 9 years now. He hasn't been paid a dime!!! He's coached many years in Jr. Pro...AAU.....He's even coached JV basketball at LMS...and he helps coach LMS Track....and he helps CCHS Track...he's reffed for elementary basketball and Jr. Pro....umped ...not to mention he has coached Little League football.....anyway...could go on!!!.....So I think maybe you should be thanking him instead of trying to find some put down come back....You go to the HS and even kids that have already graduated and they will tell you that he is one of the best football coaches they have had!!! So call us what you want!.... Oh, your right...I think all my kids are precious, Thank You~ I know the way your mind works..or your comments work anyway! You saying..... "It's all about you"..No it's all bout the kids! If it was all about us we wouldn't do something that we didn't get paid to do.....for years!!!!

How do u know that bigblue??? Sorry for the delay in the answer, have been at church. My child is a student at LMS and gets on this board with some of the team at school. And bigorange, nobody is trying to change, reinvent, degrade, demoralize or tear down the coach or any of the players. It's amazing how far some people think badly about others because of a difference of coaching philosophies.

owlsbbmama, did you have to throw a lady vols reference in there!! haha.... Here is my take on it. We all know people have strong feelings about this. However I really don't know if this is the place to discuss it. I do think the players read this, and we know the coach does. That said, I feel this CAN NOT be a good thing for TEAM UNITY!!!! If I was a parent I would have the same feelings. Lets just step back, breath, and be happy you all have a son or team to cheer on!!!

This is why I hate sports in general in Campbell County. People get all red under the collar and start going negative. Every parent is going to think his/her child is the best...as someone said earlier if you didn't you wouldn't be much of a parent. As for coaching experience, it doesn't qualify anyone to degrade another coach, maybe one can criticize...but not degrade. There is a reason he has been chosen to be the head coach...someone had confidence in him that was in a position to make such a decision. Also if kids are truly being "I" players they need to be criticized...have to wake up sometime and realize it is about something larger. I hope all this doesn't ruin the team, and they can right the ship...nothing is worse than outside interference hurting a team. I happen to be an outsider looking in at all this as well, and I can honestly say that I am glad many of the folks that have posted in this forum are not living in Corbin because their kids, cousins, grandkids, etc. would not even be on the team...one thing that can not be tolerated is meddling relatives of little Johnny if a coach is to have any credibility at all. Granted expressing opinions on here may not be as serious as face-to-face confrontation; something tells me that goes on as well up in LaFollette.

Note: One coach's critique of another is not negative it is simply evaluation...thus when I say one can criticize it does not mean attack him/her with negativity.

Criticizing is the same as attacking with negativity
