I hate to bring up Corbin on a CC msg. board, but two years ago the bball team went to the sweet 16 and elite 8 in Rupp Arena and it is funny to compare that situation to all CC athletics in general. The reason this is a big deal is in KY Basketball has no classification...every school competes for the same crown. That year they had a phenom. 8th grader that started, yes in KY an 8th grader can play up. He started at Shooting Guard over either a jr. or sr. but nobody cared...they were playing for a state title...not even the player that was on the bench because naturally in basketball a lot of kids play...who cares who starts if you get some minutes. Needless to say he is still lighting it up and this team is really young (frosh/soph), but will compete for a region title this year...they, unlike other areas, improve from the middle to the high school level...I say this because I have been in and out of CC for the last few years, and looking at it from the outside and being in a much better school system I honestly feel sorry for kids that have to stay there and the admin. etc. do little/nothing to improve academics, facilities, nor athletics.

Redhound it is good to hear input from an outsider. Thank you. I have to say I have tried to keep my comments to myself and just keep up with everything here, but it is almost impossible. You said u didnt know what all was going on here. Well, lets try to fill you in a little. First of all our school system is really not that bad. I know there are much better systems around us but the problem lies mostly with the parenting, as with this bball situation. We have a son on this team so we know everything that is going on. Basically, there are parents who feel that their child deserves much more than they do. It doesnt make a difference to me so I can say without having to be on one side or the other, that anyone watching the game can obviously see that these children do not deserve anything more than what they are getting including mine! These parents cannot accept that so they come here to voice their frustration and to verbalize what they are just reaching up and pulling out of the air! No kids on the AAU team were promised a varsity position. No parent went into the locker room and give two cents. And yes Im sure the coach is trying to hold on to his job, but who wouldnt? He had a terrible year last year. He is a new coach, but he deserves the opportunity to improve as much as anyone else. After all, I think everyone has had someone put in a good word for them or pull some strings to help them get a job. This is no different. Anyhow, just wanted to let you know you shouldnt take all this too seriously............its just venting..........and there are always 2 sides to every story.

You know I wish the cowards of CC would voice who they are GUEST!!! You just fed everyone a load of bull and you know it!! Seems odd that the coaching staff at LMS has a whole staff of GUEST... that has something to say every time something is said that would include a coach!!! Sounds like you know to much and you just tried to ice it all over with what I call ....LIES!!! You just take to heart what I already said.....!!!!!!

BBMamma I dont know why you think you are so superior or why you think you know everything, or why you cant let people say what they want (as you do) without some smart come back. You dont know everything. You dont have a clue who I am and I am definetely NOT on the staff or have anything to do with the coach. I can, unlike some people, look at a situation and see both sides. I just choose to keep my identity private...........what does it matter to you?

Just an observation here, seems some people are quick to defend a coach when things are going their way. I have seen the owls play this year and I hate to think what this board will be like when they get in a close game and it comes down to coaching and they lose. Haven't seen any real competition for them yet. Really does seem things are getting personal though. It's bad when a coach stops being unbiased and makes players pay for their parents mistakes. I sure hope this isn't happening here. Because whether people want to believe it or not, it happens.
