Well I want to see what the rest of the season holds for the Coiugars. I think htey can have a good season. It is gonna be tough seeing them play my boys from CUmberland Gap though. They are a great group of kids too.

New coug's are now4-9 with one more win Coach p will match his total from last year.... with Oak ridge, powell, fulton and karnes on the schedule in the new few weeks, It is going to get really ugly in Cougar land. Cheer for the Boy's both old and new. Jeer for the Coach ... odds for final record 6 wins 20+ losses---------2 to 1 8 wins 18 losses----------5 to 1 10 wins 15 losses---------20 to 1 12 wins 13 losses--------- better odds of Coach Pierce shaving his back--lol just a little humor to lighten the load. great post from Rhino on what it takes to be a good coach Shaved his back------- Now That is funny stuff!! i needed a laugh tonight------- my steelers are not in the playoffs this year

You know, it really doesn't matter who he is coaching, the old or new cougars. His record is not very good, is it?
Question, if a coach had this record at UT or your favorite team, would you be calling for his head?

If the coach of my favorite team was like coach P, he would have never gotten to the point where Pierce is now! His record is truly pathetic!

If people want to fire Pierce thats fine, but to talk about it midseason does nothin.....he aint gonna be fired right now....so just save the speeches for after the season...then see what comes about!

I don't think that firing a coach mid-season is warranted just because of a win/loss record. But the lack of communication and unwillingness to listen to anyone is another story. I don't believe that he is going to change after all these years now, so when do you make the move?

It seems to most people like me looking in that the coach listened to the parents etc.. but chose to play his style. I dont understand , communication was there but parents didnt like the answer. I know they want reynolds , but I also feel they handled this wrongly.

If we do try to get a new coach at the end of season, who would take it after what has happened. Anyone would know that this could very well happen to them too.

Maybe so, and it would be hard to place reynolds there after all this. They need someone who will be fair to greene, and the rest of the boys. It would be hard for reynolds not to shun greene at this point.

I really don't think Mike would be unfair to Green. He has never struck me as that type. I think Mike is a good coach, I don't know if he is ready ir if he has any desire to coach on the high school level as a head coach. I don't know what the future holds for Mike as a coach but I hope he keeps doing it at some level

I have coached with Mike and my son has played for him for a few years and I can say with confidence that he wouldn't treat Greene any different than any other player. When it comes to coaching and getting in the game or practice, they are just players to him. His only goal always is to make the players the best that they can be. Just as any coaches job, to bring out the best that every player has to offer. I don't know if Mike would consider coaching at CC, but I would let my son play for him any day.

I think it would cause major problems if Reynolds coached. He is a good guy, but we need someone in which all this conterversy is not stirring around. Old and new cougars need to feel at ease. So do the parents. They need a nuetral coach in this situation.
