In a way you would like to see this game played. However for CC they have nothing to gain by playing a single A team! I highly doubt this game will be scheduled, could be wrong!

Yes, my senior season 1995 was the first meeting ever between the two schools in varsity football. It was played at JHS & the cougars won 34-0. The next season it rained so much on Friday that the game was played at CCHS on Saturday in the "mudd bowl". CCHS won 6-0. I would love to see them play again.

They did. It would be a great rivalry. I think it should be a two years on two years off rivalry like CCHS and Scott County is.

Well there is that rumor that Campbell Co. could drop to 4A when do the next classification pending where the place the number for population , then I guess it wouldnt be that awkward to play Jellico.

dont look for CC to drop in classification any time soon or ever unless teh numbers cutoff is deeply varied... CC has over 1600 students this year... a CC-Jellico matchup sounds like a good idea and a good gate game... actually teh gate in teh past two meetings was very small and teh matchup competition wise is not likely to be good... and as stated before, CC has nothing to gain by beating Jellico but losing to them would be devastating... a Jellico loss would have no harm because it would be expected... a jellico win would be great for teh school and the community... dont look for it to happen... the 6-0 CC win in the MUD BOWL was no fluke... Jellico had one of theri best teams ever and still cic not win... played great but came up short... it would kinda be like Tennessee vs VAndy or KenSucky...

I dunno Campbell County never did do anything good until Chris Johnson came along i didnt even know they had a football team but i do remeber Jellico beatin Alcoa one year and i dont think that CCHS would beat Williamsburg so bout it being Tennessee V.s Kentucky id say it would be like Temple v.s VAndy cause they are both 2 or the worst teams in the state.

If Jellico beat Alcoa it had to be back when my Grandfather played in the 30s. They did go 7-2 his senior year. Ill check that schedule for you. Oh & everytime CC has scrimmaged Williamsburg they have won. Nothing against the Jackets my cousin is a backup QB for them.

well if CCHS is so good and so much better then jellico then why did the vball team sweep them last season and beat em once this year and i think they beat them in softball last season so i think it would be a good football game between them cause they both aint really any good

Sounds like bigb5 is a former Jellico star who wishes his old school could be as good as they were when tommy bowlin carried all of their jock straps

Thing is those wins came at Jellico with their best talent, and at that time CC still beat them. I am by no means a CC kool-aid drinker...as a matter of fact I am a hated transfer, but the fact remains that because one wins in volleyball and softball doesn't make a hill of beans in other sports...It may say the ladies program at Jellico is better than CC. I won't even make the class argument because I have seen W-Burg and others in their district and also Danville...if they played CC it would be ugly and they are lil ole 1A in KY...I know football, and right now Jellico wouldn't be able to compete, but they have a good coach and in a few years they may be there.
