as far as records peach basket, you really need to check the other cc sports and do a percentage ... that will answer your question ! OK, cool down, put your pierce cheer-leading pom pons down a minute and just re-read the post. No mention of Pierce`s won loss record. There are several of the 20 plus pages stating that wins are only one reason people want change. It is deeper. But you have to get out of cheerleader mode first to focus. It is really beyond retaining Pierce now. This is about the future of all county coaches. |

Having played for this man and other coaches, I can say that he may not be the best coach I've ever played for. He does lack some basketball knowledge that fundamentally could help every player that he coaches. With that said, I would not agree with his removal over this incident. Especially during the season. If the board has someone in mind to coach, do it in the off-season and do it based on the # of W's a coach is putting up and what type of players he is putting out into our community.

the thing is ... if you replace one coach for having multiple losing seasons, then you are going to have to replace all the coaches who have had multiple losing seasons .... that's just the way it works ..... who knows maybe this time next year we will have a whole string of new head coaches in this county ... then again, maybe this season will turn into a winning one (our record is 1-0 right now) and our new coach in baseball will follow the pattern and THEN wells might do the same ....... of course if all that happens what will any of us have to talk about .. lol AND.... HOW BOUT THEM LADY COUGS?  Way to go girls! |

He should not be fired. It is hard enough to get people to come into the county & coach if people think that a parent can dictate thier job then that would be another negative on Campbell County. If the issue is his record then that is something that should be assessed after the season, not during the middle of it.

Let's not forget that Blevins and most of the board are on the political side of the ball and are ALWAYS looking out for their interest and not the players, students or the community!

amen big blue and lothar!!!! That's EXACTLY why the public needs to be at that meeting Tuesday night ..... we are gonna HAVE to take a stand against blevins and her crew or it's no telling what they may try next ..... have already been told that the sheriffs department was asked to come to the meeting and arrest anyone who tries to make a comment or pose a question!!!! I'TS AN OPEN MEETING!!!! We have 1st ammendment rights!!! I challenge all of you out there to show up ... regardless of which side of the ball you are on ..... the community needs to show juicy judge judy who pays her check and the board need to remember that elections may not be soon but our memories aren't going anywhere!!
BE AT THE BOARD MEETING!!!!!! That is the only way we, as a community can show our power!!

better show up early in case they try something sneaky like starting early & getting this issue over with before anyone shows up. I wouldnt put anything past this woman. I personally think pierce is a horrible coach, but this whole thing is not right, every coach has people that like them & people that dont like them, but this is a dam conspiracy!!!!!
