I didn't get to go to that one due to prior obligations. I'll be getting into the basketball swing if things this week actually.

I know that LMS starts their season in earnest tonight against Clinton at home. I'm not sure, but I think that I saw on their sign that JMS plays Robertsville tonight, couldn't see for sure or where though.
Really don't understand why these two bitter rivals chose to play the first game of the season before their fall break. Normally, this type of scheduling would favor LMS because JMS would still be in the football playoffs. But with the success of the LMS football this season, the tables were turned this year. LMS had several players that were still playing football and still managed to pull out the victory.

Mr Heatherly was quite disappointed that the local paper didn't have anything in print about the LMS-JMS square-off in their issue a couple of weeks ago. Whoever scheduled this game so early in the season was out of their mind. Jacksboro had their football players back but Lafollette did not. Lafollette boys won 55-39 over Clinton, girls lost 26-15 in tonights action.

Was at the LMS game and even though they won, they have a long way to go. Once Clinton got in foul trouble early in the second quarter, they didn't have any way to stop big Luke. The big guy finished with 26. Big win for the Owls, they are now 2 - 0! Does anyone know how JMS did against Robertsville?

Off topic...but, who won the TMSAA championship in both large and small division football. I thought I would see some talk on here about it.

Agreed, but if Luke would have moved any at all he could have scored 40-50 points. Finding a better rotation would be a big help. The starting five didn't or don't seem to mesh. A little less "me" from some of the kids would also help. Clinton didn't have any way to stop Luke before they got in foul trouble, it just took him a little while to find his stroke.

Oak Ridge won the large school division, albeit with a much smaller team than played Lafollette. Iam pretty sure that Huntsville won the small school division.

LMS will be tough to beat this year just because Luke Farnam is the biggest kid I have ever seen in middle school, I agree lmscoach, If he would move around he literally could not be stopped at the middle school level. Last night I thought LMS could have went deeper on the bench sooner, I also have to say it did not seem like there was a whole lot of chemistry out on the court at any times, Not sure why, But if they keep winning they must be doing something right ha.

Thursday night will be a true test in all aspects of what Lafollette B ball has in store. Some thoughts from zooker on what you were looking at Monday night.

Well I watched a team at time took possesions off and did not do the little things such as boxing out, or cutting off baseline. Way to much of one man trying to break pressure going 1 on 3 putting their heads down, just not really team basketball.

Luke is from Fla. Panama City exactly. He is about 6'3" and weighs about 260. He is somewhat lazy but gets the job done. He had 26 against Clinton but could have had 40 with a little effort. Basketball is supposed to be his sport. He has good moments but then again he is just 14-15. He needs more discipline to become a better athlete.
