East-West Game

Keenan will be playing in the 4th Annual Toyota East vs West Tennessee All-Star Classic which will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Burke-Tarr Stadium at Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City.

Thanks! Not sure of the time yet. Keenan just knows the day and place right now. He will leave Wed, Dec 8th for C-N. They stay and practice for 3 days then the game on Saturday. I will post more info as we find out.

Keenan is ranked #1 of the DT's in the East. Not sure about overall. His final stats this season are:

tackles - 86
sacks- 25
tackles for a loss - 36
forced fumbles - 6

Cougs if those stats are correct I believe the tackles for loss & sacks are school records. I know my senior year Jason Goins set the record with 18. Check with Coach wells on that.

They had to have the stats for the East-West game. Coach Mays went thru all the games and compiled all the stats to turn in. So it should be right. He is already in Jefferson City but he told me that (can't remember who) someone had 31 sacks! I don't recall anyone doing that in the last few years.

Keenan is in Jeff City all settled in. East is at one motel and west is at another. He is rooming with a guy from Seymour. He says they are treating them very well! He will be wearing #64. It should be good for Keenan that OR's, Scott Blade is HC and Seymour's coach is the d-line coach. He told Keenan today he knows what he can do. He knows Keenan reeked havoc on their offense when they scrimmaged.

Keenan is having a blast! The East team seems to be looking pretty good. Yesterday was their 1st (3) practices! Even tho he is the smallest DT he's not being out done. He said no one could stop him. He said there was a ton of scouts there during practices. He met his cousin, he had never met, Derek Evans, O-line. Derek is a Mr. Football finalist, plays for Alcoa. He has committed to Appy State. The West team is staying at a motel next door and they have been talking smack. lol The East won all the state championships so we will see. Should be a good game!

For those that will be watching the game on TV, Keenan is #64. The tickets say the game starts at 12:06pm but the other stuff I've read says 12:30pm. There is about 30 that I know are going I hope everyone that can will come. Keenan is very excited and would be very grateful for all the support!
