Any news on potential candidates for the vacancy for head bball coach? Has anyone heard if anyone has been approached or interviewed? Next years team should be working out already and tryouts should be in the next few months i would think. The working out thing may be restricted from having the head coach involved at this point, but i do not think waiting till mid summer or fall to find a replacement is beneficial to the athletes. Are there any deadlines laid out when a coach will be named?

As I understand it, Mr. Seale won't be doing the hiring BUT I think that he is very competent to do so if he had to. He coached for many years. When I played he coached at Valley View and was a good coach. So I'm sure if he was called upon to do the job he could. * I just have to say...anyone that will take a bullet for my kids...(and I had 2 there that day) can hire and fire whoever he wants~ That is what life is all about~ Though I've seen a few shirts that says basketball is my life....living has to come first! And he made sure that all of our kids that were there that day...done just that...lived!

The gist of the whole thing is that Mr. Seale is a scapegoat as portrayed by the paper. He was officially reprimanded for not firing Pierce when the kids walked out. That letter will be in his file forever. He was forced to do what he did. Not doing it would probably have cost him his job. He has already proven how far he will go for our kids why should he be forced to do it again. To answer your question, no he will not be finding the replacement. A parent has already asked for the job but was turned away because he/she was not a teacher. He, Mr. Seale, has coached bball before for several years many years ago, but I am sure he will leave the hiring and firing to the higher-ups.
