The word is that Sherry Chapman has stepped down as the girls basketball coach.

That shocks me. Maybe Sherry just has decided to sit back and watch her daughters the rest of the way.

Megan Chapman told me last night that Sherry did indeed step down.

Why would Ryan Browning want the job especailly when he resigned as the head baseball coach in order to spend more time with his family? Makes no sense to me.

I heard that the Ryan Browning as head coach was a done deal too. I think he will be a good one. I don't know anybody that has played under him that didn't like him as a coach. I am bafgfled though as I too thought he left baseball to have more family time.

I believe alot of Coach Brownings decision to leave baseball was for family...however i feel like also he was just tired of it.....he was up at the high school form 7:45 in the morning till 7 at night with baseball.....girls basketball practice after school so maybe that had something to do with it......who will be his assistants? I believe he could be a great coach!

I heard the Gail Douglas (sorry if I misspelled her name) would be announced as the new coach very soon! Don't know how much truth there is to it, but we all know that Judy Blevins and her are close.

I had heard Browning was all but confirmed. I think he would be a good coach and his wife would be a tremendous asset to the program as well. That being said I am a huge Gail Douglas fan and if she gets it I'll be thrilled as well.

The best move in the world they could make is to bring Gail Douglas Stanley in. She is a great coach and if everyone remembers she was around with Robbie Heatherly when the girls were pretty darn tough in the early/mid 90's. I love Gail, and she is as good a person in the world to get the job...she'll certainly instill some character into her players.
