If Keenan gets as big as his dad, (not meaning it in a bad way), he could be a lineman. My future lineman is in the second grade right now. He is almost five feet tall and weighs about 125 and loves contact. He has good speed for his size and excellent footwork. Keenan has lost some weight with bball and track. If he grows this off-season like last year he should be about 6' tall weighing 195 his freshman year. He has good speed (ran a 12.2-12.5 in the 100 m) and can throw a ball 50 yards standing flatfooted. We have some decent sized linemen moving up and then the Blakely kid and Donovan Long from JMS. Granted Donovan is undersized for the line he has no backup or fear in him, he has Evans blood in him. I think that the freshman team is going to be loaded. Reid ran an 11 flat in the 100 unofficially at track practice the other day.

I would seriously reconsider putting "unofficial" numbers up here. Both of thos seem VERY fast for the respective athletes mentioned. I know Sharp is fast, but that is a good number for some high school kids much less an 8th grader...I hope it is legit, but I would wait until meet time to post any numbers.
Donavan has a lot of heart, but I do not know if he will be a lineman at the high school level. I think he'll continue growing taller without much weight...maybe with improved speed he could be a TE type player. I think this group of freshmen will be good, but short of loaded because of the lack of linemen...plenty of athletes to go around though.

Not taking anything away from Evans, I know he is a good player, I've seen him play. I think if that Williams kid comes to CC from North Anderson, he could more than likely beat Evans out for the qb position. That is if he grows some.

Size is the least of it all. Field presence and command, mental toughness, leadership, and attitude should also factor into the mix. Although I do know a little secret.

I have heard from a reliable source that AC doesn't want Tanner as QB. So why would Coach Wells jump at that opportunity? And if I remember right when LMS played North Anderson they went through 3 QB's. Tanner being the first. And if memory serves me right Evans took both including Tanner out. *I know I don't coach or anything and I am a little biast but that just doesn't add up to me.

Keenan is a good qb and a good defensive player. Even if he were to lose out on a starting qb role he could easily become a standout on defense.

But if anyone has seen the two play there is NO comparison. I actually felt sorry for Tanner when he was getting hammered by Keenan.....his size is way smaller and he didn't have a chance ....he was sacked several times before leaving the field. I know where Keenan stands at the HS....he knows what he will be doing. And that will involve giving 110% at whatever position he plays.

I don't see anybody beating Keenan at qb. He is a good package at qb.

In that North Anderson game Keenan actually broke his record of 6 sacks that he set last year. During the North Anderson game he set the record with 10.

heard some good things about the lafollette boys this year but i never got a chance to see them play. Big luke should be great next year along with the his teamates, which i have heard are also outstanding. Haven't heard anything much on the girls what should we be expecting from them?

The girls teams were very young this season. I don't think jacksboro had any 8th graders that saw lots of action. LaFollette has Taylor Bailey and I think Campbell Reynolds moving up next year. Courtney Miller is a good gaurd but I am not sure if she is moving up.
