...Our parents may have yelled at a ref or two but no one that was an embarrassment! It's too bad that the parents can't get along as good as the players do! If anything our folks show NO emotion! When a game gets tight they need to hear someone cheering them on!

There is nothing wrong with yelling at the refs when they make a bad call. But every play is ridiculous.

The reason JMS fans cheered for him getting thrown out is b/c the refs were bad JMS cheered for him b/c he did the right thing he was just yellin....and at bball games u yell right??Ino im exactly right!Jms was getting bad calls!!Only reason we clapped was b/c someone needed to tell tha refs they were horrible...and he did!He did the right thing. ~Go Eagles~

I was sitting at that game with an official that is also a longtime Jacksboro fan. That was a fairly called game.

Everyone is always against Jacksboro, every time they lose it is someone else's fault. The coaches, players, nor parents are never to blame. Either the other team cheated or the refs cheated or a combination of the two. I hate that attitude...it didn't exist until recently and something needs to be done about it because those players are better than that. What is your take Pat? I mean we both have a great perspective on it, and more right than anyone to say something about it...right?

I have seen this alot in the last couple of years. Blaming the officials is bush league. I have gottn on officials to but I would \never goso far as to blame them for a loss. There is no blame to be placed on Jacksboro. I had a parent tell me she sent he child to LaFollette because of the way a certain clique that her child went to elementary scool with was like that. I didn't believe her until this year(I was away from all sports the previous year.) Now I see what she means. It happens at all schools from time to time I am sure but it should bever occur on a grand scale. I am not blaming all Jacksboro parents, coaches, or athletes. But I saw it there a,ot this year. I didn't hear anyhting like that from LaFollette when they lost games, though I admit I am not as close to that program as I once was at Jacksboro.

One of the first things that people want to do when their team loses is to blame the officials. Most people don't want to take any blame so they look for someone else to blame it on.

I reffed ball games in college and you have to really give a ref alot of crap to get thrown out as a fan. Obviously this fan was out of hand. I can't see a game being called that onesided if it were twon officials from outside Campbell County reffing a game that featured two CC teams.

Well, I had avoided this thread pretty much...BUT..Everyone talks about "the Jacksboro fan that was thrown out". You know LaFollette isn't without their fill of the same just in different colors. This one person...doesn't have a clue! Oh, but he thinks he does! He opens his mouth and stupidity just oozes out.

The LaFollette fans have been discussed too. The article was written towards all youth sports parents. Actually it is more aimed at the Little League/Junior Pro set than it is anybody. They are among the worst.

Many parents in CC have a problem behaving themselves at athletic events. When LaFollette's 7th grade traveled to Corbin they were pretty sore about losing. First they went after their own coaches then they moved on to the "sophomores" out on the floor for Corbin. They tried to discredit Corbin and holdbacks etc. No child is "too old" they may be 15, but if they turn 19 before Aug. 1 of their SR. year they are ineligible for all sports, so would you jeopardize your H.S. career so you could dominate in m.s...I think not. The attitudes that night really diminished/discredited their own children's efforts out on the court...they played well other than turnovers.
