Well the talent before last year was very poor; he had little to work with. This Soph. class should be a good one followed by a good frosh. class, but leaning on kids that young is a huge risk in H.S. dont we know it brother I will AMEN that one...lessons learned.

Yeah, the upcoming freshmen, might get to see the feild, on pregame, union co, powell, jeff co. , clinton, open, heritage, sevier co, bearden, D.B, and then halls, that is our schedule.Just ignore these little middle shoolers, they think there all bad in middle school, then the get to h.s, and there heads swell up and then they quit.

Isn't there a freshmen team? Why would you throw freshmen on the field in varsity?

That has to be either a freshmen or JV schedule.

ccfballplayer1 tell me why a few of these freshman couldnt get on the field somewhere, after seeing what jms and lms has, I know a few of these kids could at least play special teams!!!

If freshmen are starting you are in trouble...only in RARE cases are they capable of playing at the H.S. level let alone the 5A level. I think we have had two or three freshmen start here in the last 10-15 years, and we surely don't have the school population CC has. I hope those kids get their feet wet, but aren't relied upon to carry the team or fill critical positions as a starter...for their own good.

I also agree they should not be looked to carry a team. But special teams could be a good way for them to get their feet wet as you would say.

This can't possibly be the varsity schedule. Science Hill and Karns aren't on here.

There are some good freshmen who can contribute, but like Redhound said if you are starting freshmen and hoping they make the big difference on the 5A varsity level you are in trouble. There are at least three members of this board that played on the last undefeated team at Jacksboro that were thrown right in the varsity high school fire.

I disagree...special teams, especially at the high school level can win and lose you a ball game. That is why your best 11 should be out there. One breakdown in coverage can cost you the win. I would hate to know I lost a game because I neglected an aspect of my team that gives up the biggest momentum swinging plays. Nosir I would not start freshmen on special teams unless they were stellar athletes that can get after it. They should play JV/Frosh so they can adapt to the speed/strength change in levels.

The whole point of a JV program is to get them ready. Hopefully there will be some good JV/freshmen coaches.

That makes more sense. I didn't think we played Halls in football anymore.
