I really thought they put up 14...oh well. I wasn't really into as it was not a very good game in the first half. There were no 8th graders on the floor in that game. The big boys played less than two total minutes in the second half. Corbin did sub the whole second half, ALL of the starters were finally benched in the 4th. LMS certainly has a few pretty good players, but they seemed to panic under the preasure of the full-court press. They also seemed to get a little tired out there early on and then caught their second wind.
Peeb the tourney you are refering to is the Cuberland Falls Invitational. There are typically teams from KY, TN, SC, FL, OH, IN and many other regional teams and the occasional CA, TX etc.
It was a physical game, but I would venture to say the fouls were evenly distributed. I enjoyed seeing the teams giving good effort, and playing physical/exciting basketball.
One thing that drove me nuts was the parents attitudes over on the LaFollette side. I have two cousins that play for LaFollette so I sat in that section. All I could hear was excuses and cheating accusations that "those boys are sophomores". Give your kids credit they gave great effort, were probably a little rusty, and came up short...but don't insult their efforts with make-believe excuses for the loss. Corbin's kids are all legit age, because if they weren't their H.S. eligibility would be lost for the sake of MIDDLE SCHOOL sports...so think about it please. No 8th graders played in the game...what good does it do 8th graders to play down and dominate?

Give Corbin credit, they played an uptempo, physical game. I enjoy seeing our team play these type of games, because it makes them tougher. Corbin has some good kids and a good program. You should have been at the LaFollette,Corbin game on Dec. 8, then you could have heard some of their fans voiceing their opinions.

Campbell County could learn alot from the folks in Corbin about how athletic programs are run.

Well, the Owls got a homecoming win over Jellico last night. Although the score wasn't quite as wide of a margin as last time, the effort was good. Anyway, can't wait for tournament time to get here when the games really matter!

not necessarily a regular season game...just a good preseason scrimmage would suffice...a good preseason battle...much can be learned in a scrimmage like this...including how your team might react if and when an opponent gets overly physical...some regular season games take that route...
did robertsville actually bring freshmen to play in the playoff game...if so that needs to be brought to the atterntion of the lrague (tmsaa) and the evidence presented to thr lraders...i intend to question my "brother" johnny bruce for his take on this...can anyone give me the names or numbers of these players who were added to the robertsville roster so late in the season...

I have know Billy for years and coached with him in the past and yes, he is a class act and a fairly good basketball coach. My son really developed under his coaching and he always knew just what buttons to push to get the most out of him when it mattered most.

I'm new to this tournament stuff, can anyone tell me how the sub-sectionals work? How many games will they play at that stage and where will they play?
