Well, if you have a roster of 15 players, then most of the time you have about 10 that are not happy with their playing time. That's just the stone cold facts about it and that happens at any level. I have coached kids from developmental Jr. pro to high school and the playing time issue never changes.
On another note, if your new to the board, you might want to register and get a regular name that everyone can relate to. Alot of people hide behind the guest option and Pat has even considered restricting them from posting. Some people just want to cause conflict and bring alot of strife to the board and that is not it's intention. So, glad to have you and welcome aboard.

Well, I can just sit back and read..since I wasn't at the game tonight. My son did say it was a very physical game. He seemed happy when he came home. So to me that is all that matters whether they are ...13-0....or....0-13!

Unfortunately, alot of people don't look at things the way that some of us do, you know? If you can't enjoy the game, then what is the point?

I hate that I haven't been at the last couple of games but I needed to get some Jacksboro games to. I love watching these guys play. I can't wait for the big game Thursday night.

I saw the 6th grade get handled pretty well, and the 7th grade was slaughetered tonight at Corbin...the 7th score was 41-14 at the half then the Hounds...called off the "dogs"...if you will. I would have sure liked to have seen the 8th grade teams go at it. The 7th at Corbin is nearly as good as the 8th though...would have been a great game.
Good luck LMS the rest of the way. I hope I can see them play JMS on the 18th...is that correct?

That's correct redhound they play Thursday night. I'm not 100% sure on tipoff time but I'm guessing it is the usual JV at 5 and goes from there.

These are good kids who play with alot of heart and it showed tonite, because they could have given up but they didn't. You can say what you want to, but they ( Corbin) played the same kids in the second half until the final 3 minutes. The Final score was 47-32....GO OWLS

I remember going to the basketball tournaments they held during the holidays when I/we were doing the CCHS basketball games at WLAF...there were teams from as far away as Cali, Fla, and so many other places it is hard to remember...great experience...great memories!!!

I'm sure some of them will grow physically over the summer and they will also will grow as a team as well. This group is tough and they will only get better!

By that point the owls had cut it to 15 points. Lafollete came out in the second half with a lot of heart and out scored corbin 24-13 As for the measuring stick comment by peblee, you're right. It was good for that team. One more quick note, Lafollette beat that same team at home 44-42

I thought that the Varsity had played or scrimmaged Corbin earlier this year. I know in the past that the games got very physical. I remember Poteet got knocked off the floor and down the steps at Corbin a couple of years ago. Bloody lips and black eyes were the norm for a Corbin game.

No, the varsity has not played or scrimmaged Corbin this year..your right they are very physical. Our jv played them Dec. 8th at LMS and our kids had scratches, bruises and cuts. (We beat them tho). Funny thing, last night when we got there, they had added a few bigger boys that did not play in Dec. I seriously doubt that they were not their 8th graders........

Good assumption, nobody likes to lose to a non-conference foe on their home floor. I felt this when Oak Ridge brought some of their freshmen team up to beat us in the playoffs.

Your right Peeblee, if LMS really wants to find out where they stand, they need to play Corbin. They take their basketball very seriously up in Corbin!!
