The Owls are doing great, but the coach has still got a long way to go. Playing your best player with a 25-30 point lead late in the game is just stupid! What if that player got hurt? Then everyone would have to pay for that decision. A young player could stand in as coach with that talent and they would still destroy everyone they played. They should go on and have an undefeated season the way they are playing right now.

There are only two home games left Jan 16th Homecoming vs Jellico and Jan 25th Eight Grade Night vs Jefferson. Get the word out to come and support this team! They are a great bunch of kids. Their team play has really made the difference. We should pack the house on both nights to show our support!
We play Soldiers Memorial away this Thurs.

yea, this isn't the NFL during week the last two weeks. No resting the players. Sometimes it is nice to lay it on a team that you may play later in the year or at tourney time.

Well, I gotta take back what I said after watching tonights game, sorry Owl Fan. I kinda see what you mean now. Coach just about got them beat tonight. The only way the other team stayed in the game is because of his coaching!! But we still WON!! I still love the owls and will be there rooting them on 1000%!!!!

i'm amazed that you still want to rag on the coach after a hard fought win. that was an extremely physical game. that was some of the worst officiating i have ever seen!

I'm normally against name calling, but you are a fool!!! Please elaborate a little and tell us how the coach almost cost them the game since you're so smart. That was the worst officiating I've ever seen. So bad that the SMMS coach apologized to the Lafollette coaches during the 4th quarter for how pathetic the refs were. Also, I guess it was that coaches fault that they wouldn't box out and gave up nearly 20 offensive rebounds. I guess it was also the coaches fault that they missed about 25 lay-ups, and they still won by 10. If you have anything intelligent to say, or a good reason that you think that the coach almost cost them the game, please enlighten us all.

Well, I'm not going to stoop to your level with the name calling! If you can't see the game as it's played without looking through orange glasses, then I'm not going to waste my time in trying to explain it to you! One thought, did you ever think that it's the coaches fault for not mixing the lineup up when those players you were talking about made all those mistakes to try and cut back on those mistakes?

Congrats to "COACH DOTSON" and the OWLS on your wonderful season so far. First, to the players keep fighting and put your heart into every minute when you step onto that floor. Now to "COACH DOTSON" you keep doing what you are doing and these people that are talking about you can eat what they are saying!! GO OWLS AND COACH DOTSON!!!

First of all sorry about the name calling
Secondly, I'm sure you're going to deny being a parent of a player who didn't get to play enough, but we're not dumb. And of course you're not going to spend time explaining it to me because you have nothing to explain. Simply that you felt someone should have played more. As physical as it was and the way the refs were callling the game, no one on that bench could have done any better. And I guess since Luke missed a bunch of lay-ups (he did get fouled everytime he touched the ball and they wouldn't call it) but your suggesting that they pull Luke and put our other 6'3" centers in the game lol

I'm not sure what any of that meant but anyways, I'll hand it to bigblue on this one. It's dumb that we're even having this indifference. First of all, it was a hard fought win tonight that was good for both the team and the coach, and I would hate to be a coach that was 13-0 and just finished a game like that and then get on here tommorrow and read comments like you made. I'm new to this board and hated to get into this type of discussion, but I felt like someone needed to stand up for the coach. Secondly, I should'nt have even worried about it and should have just let your comments go. And, i'm sorry if I seemed impolite, and i'm defenitly sorry about the fool comment. But seriously the Owls look great to me and I know coach dotson, and I think he's doing a fine job. I guess I should have realized that he's not going to keep everbody happy (even at 13-0) but to say that "he almost cost them the game" that was a little far off and I couldn't help but respond.
