Well I just got an email from Peeblee telling me he can no longer access the message board here while he is at school. I guess I am bad for education.

What about the kids viewing the site at school? What are they going to do suspend them? They will be more knowledgeable and they will definitely pay more attention to their typing skills RE: peblee.

Actually Pat, this board has some good and bad in it, and I personally enjoy it. But the fact is; the kids don't need to be on here reading most of this. Granted it's not all bad or negative, but there is still to much negativity for these athletes to read. Especially at the middle school level. Take the LMS ball team for instance. They're having a great season so far and the last thing that all of these players need to be reading is the negativity and bickering about their team. As an adult most of us can take it with a grain of salt, but for a young teen it's just damaging to moral, spirit, commorodery,etc... But please don't mis-interpret what I'm saying. I like this forum, and it's nice for people to have a place to speak their minds. But I think it was a good decision by the school board to block this site from all school computers for the sake of the athletes. |

Hey Pat Im not sure but it must be the state that controls what is blocked at schools because I tried to check out the message board at Bearden High yesterday & it was blocked. The site is not blocked just the board. They must check out the sites that get hit the most, so it is obviously being checked out alot during school hours! Keep up the good work

the state tends to block all messaage boards...it is the state department not CC board of ed
