thanks so much and you really didn't have to start a new thread if you didn't want too but ya know i was just wondering if you all new of some things we could work on,.....ya know, another point of view. some of you all said you were coaches, or had experience in it, so you all may see it differently. So just wondering. or could just talk about the season and seasons to come. thanks for all the support...........Go Lady Owls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taylor, keep working hard and most of all, keep listening to your coach. Believe me, she knows what she it doing. As long as you will remain coachable and work hard, everything will turn out for the best.

As you know, with practice comes perfection. Go with that and work hard together as a team and never be satisfied with were you are at in your game. Always strive to be the best you can possibly be and never get bigger than you are and you will be fine. Reflect on every practice and game and ask yourselves if it was your best effort and if so then fine and if not find out what you could change and make it better.

Gotta agree with you pat, having talked X's and O's with her many times, she definitely knows what she is doing.

Compared to other teams at LMS this years team seems less meshed or together. Marsha told me herself that she wished she had played them in some preseason tourneys. Hindsight is 20/20 but it might cost them some early games in the season that could prove helpful later. Marsha is a good coach and you have to give in order to receive or take your licks early.

Lady Owls, this is what I saw on Monday night. Your ability to play defense was about par for one of Marsha's teams. The first and third quarters offensively were horrible. It looked like there was nobody who wanted to shoot the ball. Taylor in the second quarter you hit some big shots, if nobody is going to shoot you are going to have to, this will also soften up the defense and allow some of those lob passes to make it into the middle. Also don't allow yourselves to fall into reaching out to stop somebody, move over and cut of the lane. Teamwork looked good at times but at others you all were just throwing the ball back and forth. You all know where you want to be so don't settle for less.

Agreed. The lob pass will only work if you have someone who is aggressive enough to go get the ball and height doesn't hurt either.

At times, their shots were rushed. Players have to be in position to shoot to take good shots! Also, I think that there needs to be a clear cut leader on the floor, it's usually the best for the team to have a senior, experienced player to step in and be that player.

But remember Taylor, the best way to get the offense going is to play good defense. Good shots will eventually start to fall, but you have to be able to defend!

Good win last night by the lady Owls. Good start but struggled some down the stretch. Will post more later but I have to go to the store.
