I used to use this board to get info on local sports. Did they just give up, take up uniforms, and shut down the basketball program at CCHS? and the county as well? Based on the traffic on here it looks like it.

CCHS Girls are having a pretty good year. Beat Oak Ridge for the first time in a lot of years. Undefeated in District (4-0?). Girls have a couple good guards, four good post players, and the Chapman girl who is an outstanding athlete.
Boys are very exciting to watch, but are still young. They are a couple of games under 500 and have lost 4 district games by a total of about ten points. Very competitive, but don't have a play-maker to bring it to the house at the end of the game.
This is the fourth year for both the coaches and they seem to be bringing a good identity to their respective programs.

Lady Cougars remain undefeated in district. Slow start to the game but finished strong with a decisive win.
Boys team won in OT - looked like neither team wanted to win in regulation, but in OT the boys simply won with heart and by making free throws.

It feels like they did shut down basketball, due to the snow. Nevertheless, it got cranked up again last night at Hardin Valley Academy.
Lady Cougars lost first game in district play last night. They definitely looked sloppy due to a long layoff.
The boys played an up and down the court game again, and it looked like their style of play wore Harding Valley out and they finally made some good decisions and plays at the end of the game to win. They are young but they play really hard.
Tonight at CCHS is a big District game against Halls. Can the ladies get back on track with a win and can the boys keep Halls from shooting them out of the gym?

Lady Cougars dropped another tough one to Halls. Halls pulled it out in the end and has a gril that is pretty good. The Lady Cougars look a little sloppy - for sure because of a few injuries and probably the weather and missed practice has messed up their chemistry a little.
Boys beat a very good shooting and very competitive Halls team. After a slow start in district, they have now won 3 straight district games.
According to schedule, next game is Friday January 21st at home vs Hardin Valley.

Two big wins tonight for Cougars and Lady Cougars. Both teams won tonight's homecoming games in overtime in front of the largest crowd I have seen in several years.

Lady Cougars back on track now with two good wins in a row. A very impressive win over Powell tonight. This should put the Lady Cougars back in solid standing in district play.
The boys win streak ends at 4 games. Just a very slow offensive start and sloppy offensive game for the cougars. Did make a 16 point come back in the 4th quarter to tie the game, but got a horrible call on their best player that put him out of the game with 5 fouls. Eventually lost by 5 points.
