Well I hope he does. Maybe not for the same exact reasons but I hope he has the guts to do what some others are afraid to do. Many knew this fellow (jones) was a poor hire and the former principal did not want to hire a good coach so now that he is where he needs to be I was hoping we would take basketball serious again and hire someone who wants to be here and can keep our players that live here in school here.
Short story I hope Rector Miller has the guts to do what is right since others do not. And if they do I hope they select somone who wants to coach here and not a rebound person that was run off or a person who just wants their AAA stepping stone.

I agree, from all I hear this Jones fellow is not a fit for here. I understand his locker room situation was in fact his fault as he leaves them alone with no supervision all the time so if this is true then anything that happens is on him. I will add if the principal and AD allow him to do this then they can be included in all the blame.
BUT as for football I will not support the football progtam if they bring in the I 75 heros to coach. They could have helped this program both football and basketball but they and their family turned their backs on us. If brought back I will turn my back on them. DO not come to me or my business for any support if this happens. I have heard others say same.

Guys I understnd where everyone is coming from. Why are we holding grudges? We want coaches that can win and if that means getting Justin Price then I am all for it. I am sure their are ALOT more TRUE cougar fans out there than what one business thinks.

Coach Wells performance can be debated... but should be debated upon the criteria set forth form his immediate supervisor. This obviously has not been the case.
Repeating rumors on Coach Jones is just another way to bring division and start the cycle over. Coach Jones came into CC because our local management in the basketball program was pathetic and the CC folks were tearing things up. Dr. Blevins had to go outside the county to hire someone because of such a dysfunctional situation. He has got the program to a respectable level while dealing with this culture. Furthermore, he has been referred to as one of the best teachers at CCHS by current and former administrators.
From what I have heard about the Price boys, they are very good football coaches. Nevertheless, they may not be a good fit for CC because of the reason stated by eastside. It would be another divisive opportunity for CC folks, and what we need is something a large part of our community can support.

I admit I was never in gym when basketball players were unsupervised but my info came from players I have no reason to not believe, and doubt that they would make up this story and plan to spread it as I heard this from different ones at different times. Maybe that is Webster calls a rumor but I felt it to be fact or would not have said it. AND that is only one of many reasons I think he is not a fit for our school.
I think Wells did as good a job as anyone could do here as far as coaching. Maybe someone with better PR skills could do better in community relations not sure.
BUT again, maybe the Price guys can and will be good coaches somewhere and I wish them well, I just hope their stepping stone is in another county. I think we are in a sad situation if these guys are the only qualified coaches we can attract to our school.

I don't see the Prices building anything here, nothing against them particularly but, do they really have some special x-factor that will make kids that are leaving stay and get the kids that aren't playing on the team?
