Obviously, some minds are made up. I have argued in earlier posts that Coach Wells did put the players in a position to win the White Co. game and I believe the same about the Karns game. Turnovers, dropped TD passes, missed jump-ball opportunities, key penalties, etc. At some point, the players have to take some responsibility. There were plays to be made that they did not make. Simple as that. As for Loudon, Hardin Valley, and AC- no chance. Bear Bryant couldn't have "put the players in a position to win" those games. Sometimes, it really IS about the Jimmy's and the Joe's. Hardin Valley had ONE running back that dominated the game with his speed and quickness. AC had one tremendously skilled QB (where is he from?). Loudon's QB was the best player on the field. When's the last time Coach Wells had the best player on the field...or at least ONE of the best players on the field? Instead, we have an entire roster of players who couldn't run out of sight in a week. And that's the brutal truth.

You know nothing about football cause everything you just said is non sense. Are you the water boy/man??? We had the "Lineman of the year" ON OUR TEAM out of the whole district last year! And he should own that title again this year. Hum let me see, yep makes you the BEST player on the field. And guess what?? He plays for CAMPBELL COUNTY!!!! Why don't you just shut up and quit looking stupid! I was trying to stay out of this but you are something to be laughed at! We should be no less than 3-2 right now. Hardin Valley was VERY winnable, white county and karns of course. And if you are a real coach...you coach what you have to win those games you think is just out of reach! What in the crap do you think a coach is for??? To WIN! You know a coach just south of us said, " I could win with the talent that campbell county has"!!!!!!!!! And believe me he knows WAY more about football than YOU!

I don't know which, if any, of the games you were at or have seen but Coach Wells couldn't have won them if he had 11 MVPs on the field. Loudon Co was a feeler game, given. I will say that the LBs were the most ill-prepared on the defensive side of the ball. They were still trying to figure out where they were supposed to be at the snap. White Co. is a loss by the offensive coordinator. When the 1st two drives were run right down their throat and then we didn't go back to it, yeah it was the OC. AC could have been kept within 24 points at most running between the tackles. Karns, again, the play calling was suspect at best. 1st drive run it right at them and then not again. Hardin Valley was winnable. Since we do have the Lineman of the Year playing, I would assume that we do have one of the best players in the district on the field. I think he even runs a 4.54 40 which is faster than you have ever been physically and mentally with some of your comments. I will lay even money that he will be Lineman of the Year again. We don't have a finesse team this year we have a power team and that would dictate we run the ball between the tackles hard and often with an occasional pass not sweeps and such. After the discussion yesterday it may be to late to salvage anything this season but maybe a few of the players will stay here and not go down the road next year. If that decision has not already been made. I suppose that boys could draw the plays up in the dirt and be at least 2-3 maybe 3-2 on the year. I am not the only person who feels this way just the only one who will sound off about it. Enjoy the view.

I want to start off by saying that we do have one of the best players on the field in Keenan if not the best. Whether people like it or not its the truth. Probably plays out of position in order to help the team. Would much rather see him at linebacker, but hes doing what is helping the team. I believe I have talked to the same coach Cougs talked to and he told me he could at least win six games a year and make playoffs every year at least. Even in the White Co. game when we were like at the eight yard line and you see them drop everyone and rush three, why do we not run a draw or something instead of throwing it in the endzone four times. We just was not put in position to win. As far as the qb at AC. He is from here everyone knows, but Wells is one of the reasons he is down there. I know the Price twins interviewed for the the OC job and were turned down. If Price was the OC then he would be here and not there. People just needs to open their eyes and look at what is right in front of them. Do we want to continue being a bad football team or we want to at least be competitive? Also what conversation would you be talking about Rhino?

Practice was actually practice yesterday and things were put forth. I could blow the minds of most of our readers and viewers with what I do know. I have kids in the system for now, if you follow me. If things stay the same, there will be, maybe, 15 kids on the CCHS football team next year. Maybe Legos would be a better option.

Well I think their will be a new coach next year no matter what unless he can win some games and with his offensive scheme that ain't gonna happen. I think it will be interesting to see who they will get. Their is a few good players that will be freshman next year so its important to get a coach that can talk to those kids and get them to stay in the county.

Speaking about the freshmen, of the 8, I am pretty sure 4-5 are gone if Coach is not. That is not to mention the 15-20 upper classmen that are outta here. Having reread previous posts, our new coach will have to win with what he has to get new kids out. Our friend to the south is very interested in this job. I hate that this season was basically a wasted year for Keenan and the seniors. They should have been in the playoffs.

I'm reminded of a quote by Paul Bear Bryant. He said, "When we have a good team, I know it's because we have boys that come from good mommas and pappas". He also said "One man doesn't make a team. It takes 11". Sounds to me like we need some good mommas and pappas to teach their kids it's not all about them. Might be hard though judging by what I've been reading. Too many pappas (I'm assuming mommas aren't saying these hateful things) who think they know it all.

Judging by your comments I am going to assume that you are related. With that being said I can understand your loyalty, but it can and probably will be misused like Keenan's when he chose to stay here and play. The "one man" quote is in bad form since he is used so sparingly on offense and is playing out of position on defense. Although he played LB last year and Clinton was able to play call around him switching back and forth from LB to DL. He was a QB his freshman year and that helped the AC QB become the AC QB. Also, it is not hate you are hearing it is the truth. I would say the 40 sets of parents who see it this way are also wrong or maybe not since they are not voicing their opinion. Dr. Martin's phone is probably already ringing. Parents are rather peeved at the current situation. In the grand scheme of things I am glad that other coaches around the region have offered to help Keenan in the recruiting process. I would say that that bodes well for Keenan. Is anybody offering to help you?

Rhino.....who is our friend to the south? You obviously don't want to give a name...so I will just ask is his name on this coaching candidacy list?

Ask yourselves where this statement originated. "There is no genetic difference that stops at the AC/CC line among the talent of each county. The difference is in the coaching."

"There is no genetic difference that stops at the AC/CC line among the talent of each county. The difference is in the coaching." Thats the best quote I have heard in a long time. I think Price would come. I think Rodney would come. I think either of those coaches would bring a great staff. Heck I would love to see that D that Wampler would bring. What it boils down to is whether the administration will hire someone like those guys to come and coach bacause they all could win here.

The current situation is bad for attendance which is bad for money and the county. So opposite of "Field of Dreams", if they come they will build it. It would be a win win.

We need a coach that has that I don't care who we play, we can win attitude. Got that fire to them. We need that in our players. I like Shouse alot and I hate that he is caught up in this situation. I have alot of respect for him. Wells is ok, but he ain't got what it takes.
