There were bright spots and well as several issues that can be worked on. We were smaller in our secondary than the receivers. The d-line did ok, there was lots of holding on all sides so you couldn't get a real feel. Offensively, we dropped several balls that were for sure tds. We ran the ball decently, and Tuffy took some hard licks that could be avoided with pitches. If I had to grade it I would say C+ with lots of possibilities.

I AGREE THERE WERE A FEW BRIGHT SPOTS, ALTHOUGH THE DROPPED PASSES AND THE INABILITY TO COVER THE OTHER TEAMS BIGGER RECEIVERS MIGHT BE THE HARDEST THINGS TO OVERCOME. I THINK THE COACHES ARE GOING TO HAVE TO BREAK DOWN AND PLAY SOME YOUNGER PLAYERS AT THE RISK OF HURTING SOME UPPERCLASSMEN FEELINGS. THE DEFENSE IS CLEARLY STRONGER WHEN THE SECOND TEAM LINEBACKERS ARE IN THE GAME THEY ARE MORE AGGRESSIVE AND SEEM TO BE HUNGRY TO PLAY. THEY MIGHT WANT TO LOOK AT SOME TALLER DEFENSIVE BACKS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, AND THE O-LINE HAS TO STAY WITH THEIR BLOCKS A LITTLE LONGER TO ALLOW THE PLAYS TO DEVELOP. OF COURSE THIS IS JUST MY AMATUER OPINION.....I'M SURE IT'S HARD AS A COACH TO PLAY SOPHOMORES IN FRONT OF JUNIORS AND SENIORS.
