you know i was sittin there friday wonderin why we are playing man to man against a team where there tallest player on the floor is 6-2 and our smallest on the floor at the time was 5 10 we were bigger than them all over the bored why not run a zone defense as big as we are it just dont make any sense what so ever i had an ac parent tell me campbell county should have won that game easily!

What makes you think it's Barry's fault? In case you didn't pay attention last year, his team went to the district championship and the first round of regionals. And another point, the majority of his team is Freshmen, so they've not been competing at that level. They're building right now. It's not the coach's fault that their season this year wasn't as well as last years, it just means that they need to build those underclassmen. Those of you who do nothing rather than bad mouth the coach should try watching the game and see that the players control the score, not just the coach.

some of those things are true but i have been to every game this year and watched closely and yea it is alot of the players but i mean u cant argue that the coach is the most important part to the team he didnt go to a zone till the end of the year if we would have been in a zone at the beginning of the year we would have won more games and probably got a better seeding in the tournament and its adifferent story so ya i did think there could have been a better coachin job and last year a first round loss in the regional tourney was not as far as that team should have went that team had enough talent to make it to substate although he has done a pretty good job still i think it should have been better especially last year

Well Barry Jones made his team pick between football and basketball. He has done nuthin but run off players. lucas nelson garrett resse trevor nolan and other players as well. how is that not his fault. some of the best basketball players in the world played football in high school such as lebron james allen iverson. should i say anything else. why wld you make a teenager pick what sport they play. Yes! i go to about every game the cougars play. jones sets on the bench like he cld care less about a win or lose. my son has his class at the school and told me that somebody asked if he is ready to beat ac tonight and jones replied saing i doubt that we will win. thats really good for the head coach to say. shows he has faith in his team.if the players see that the coach doesnt care. it will bring their spirits down and they wont play to their fullest potential. the majority of his team wldnt be freshman if he didnt make his players choose what sport they play so i blame Barry for this year.

WillCALL, are you serious? playing the 2-3 zone and slowing down is what made us look silly in the district tourney. That is a microcosim of what the season would have been if they played that way all year. He ran the offense because of the guards were inexperienced, and he has said from day one he believes in man to man defense. Sometimes you have to adjust, but IMO he done well with one senior and a jv team.

No legend they started playing a zone at the end of the year and they played better they beat ac at home and beat scott county by thirty who beat ac couple nights before that it was the best defense for our team we cant play man to man wit ac and oak ridge and small fast teams like that we are to big and are inexperienced guards didnt do any better in man to man than the zone from the stats the zone was better in the tourney ac shot it a good as they possibly could and we shot as bad as we possibly can i would rather get beat by a team hittin threes like that when they havent done it all year than gettin beat by playin man to man and them gettin layups all night i believe i like my odds here legend

Legend, how many times did we in the middle of the game switch from man to a zone. the last couple games that we played we did and we won. the game we played against AC at home we play zone and won. so if it aint broke dont fix it. You say he done well with a senior and a jv team. well he wld have one senior and a jv team if he didnt make his players pick what sport the want to play. you agree? im gonna say this again. some of the best athelets in the world played more than one sport when they were in high school. lebron james played football when he was in high school, he was a reciever. allan iverson was a qb and saftey when he was in high school. so why make them pick what sport to play? If i recall Trevor Nolan if im correct played basketball when he was in high and quit idk if it was bcause of this. but he played qb and safteyduring football this year. i watched him as a freshman play against halls and he stole the ball from all district guard Cameron Sharp. I think he wld have helped the team alot this year. As well as Lucas Nelson and Garrett Resse which are now playin football because jones made them pick.
