Where is everyone?!?!

I thought about this for a bit this morning and came to a few conclusions.
1. Where in the world has everyone gone as far as Campbell County Sports?

2. Is this a direct reflection on how the interest in our counties sports programs tend to go?

3. Most are really quick to criticize our kids but aren't willing to do anything about it!!

Lack of support is the crumbling of the foundation of the programs. Whether it is going to support an elementary basketball program or at one of the high schools supporting the Cougars or the Blue Devils, these kids see that no one cares and it has to affect their performance, don't you think?? So as our kids grow up and see this happening year after year, they leave and go down the road to somewhere else. Then we get on here and scream and complain because they are trying to get in a better system!?!?!?! As more and more of these kids leave, the programs continue to flounder and get worse.

Now, when can the cycle be broken and what will it take?? I believe that is the question of the day.

At what point do these players leave for greener gridirons? Is it from Pee-wee to middle school or middle school to high school?

I’m guessing it is from middle school to high school. The next question is why are they leaving?

I guess that the past few weeks have told the story more than anything! (As far as the Board is concerned.)

Have we (as Campbell Countians), given up on our sports teams??

What is sad is that I have been away from there coaching at other schools for 5 years now & i probably still care about those teams more than most people. I check this site 2-3 times a week & very rarely see any comments from anyone. Im a Cougar alum so I will always want to see them succeed & have ties to Jellico that makes me want to see them succeed, but judging from the crowd that Jellico brought down here to Wartburg it seems that they could care less up there & what about the people at CCHS.

Its not just this site, I dont put any comments on Coach T but I do check it to see what is being said & I have never seen one single comment from a Jellico fan & CCHS rarely puts anything. These are venues to pub up the student athletes of Campbell County & no one uses them.
