Gosh I am slacking. I forgot to start this thread like I usually do. I think the Cougars can pull this off before hitting the murderers row of Bearden, D-B, and Science Hill.

I never thought I'd see the Cougars give up. We need some leadership both on the field and on the side lines.

I even heard a coach screaming on the sideline during the second quarter for them to get their heads up and play the game. One thing that totally confounds me, you are down by 29 in the second half and you still continue to run the ball almost every play. Why not try to work on your passing game? I know that the coach's son doesn't have the strongest arm, but good grief, it's worth a shot. There's not alot of difference in losing by 40, 35 or 29! At least you would be doing some good work for future games!

Well sportsnut, I hate to think it but maybe the coach just doesn’t want his son to have the bad stats that a passing game would give him.
I usually like to blame the coach, on this loss he had some help.
But let’s face it on this one. The defense gave up way to many points. Poor pass coverage, and a bad choice on special teams cost us. On offense the line did not provide enough protection or in some cases any protection to make up for shall we say a mediocre at best QB.
But above all else the boys gave up on themselves. Finger pointing and blaming one another is not what a team is supposed to do when things get tough. The so called “Cougar Best” need to realize that without the rest of the team they are nothing. The “Best” should be leaders not blamers especially when their own performance was below the norm.

We had a lot of injuries. Justin's hand was split open and had to have stitches. Blaine possibly re-tore his acl...possibly out the rest of the season. Another...can't remember his name out for the season. Chase is having bad back problems and has for a while now. Albright was hurt but don't know his situation.
I hope all of you Cougars heal quickly. Way to still fight boys! Go Cougars!
Congrats Justin on setting a CC record!

I would maybe consider some screen passes but you can only do that so many times.

Even with poor OL play one can still get some good yardage in the quick passing game...I hope all the injuries for those kids turn out positive.

I disagree lothar. O'line is not the only weak link.
All the disciplines have had their good and bad moments this year. These boys just need to become a team. Pull each other up, instead of pointing fingers and blaming each other. Keep blame on the web site not on the field.
