If you saw the article about the volleyball coach at Anderson County High School, besides the fact that he was busted as a Sexual Predator, there was some other information in the article that was very interesting.
He was not a teacher, but only a person that coached in their system. His coaching supplement, if I remember correctly, was $6,200.00, for coaching volleyball. I bet we do not pay any coaching staff of any sport that combined.
I have said it several times before now, our school board needs to pay these guys more to get BETTER coaches in here. It goes back to the old saying, you get what you pay for.
Some of these folks may be great folks, but across the county, they are just not getting it done. Go ahead and say Jellico is having a good year, but wait till the end of the year and see what it gets them. I hope that story ends up well, but history is not on their side is it.
