A quick fix is better than no fix, UT got rid of Buzz & bought a "Pearl" We will start with the most obvious, CCHS boys. Come on people when was the last time we had a good season, are we going to live in the yesteryears forever...everyone else in east TN has forgotten & they now think we are a joke. Len has had some success, but Tubbys on the hot seat every year at UK & he won a national title there. What have you done for me lately Lenny??? I dont want to hear who will we get...there is always someone out there. Lens a fine coach, thank him for the good times...but lately there has been to many bad ones c-ya coach! Who is in agreement if you want to win you have to saccrifice. BOOOOM!!! Well, devil coach are you gonna cry now that they made a dcision on Pierce & was in agreement with my opinion BOOOOOOOOOOOM, BOOOOM!!! |

I don't think I ever said Coach Pierce shouldn't be fired. I'm not involved with HS basketball, I am not qualified to pass judgement on basketball coaches. If that's the best thing for the program then it's good. I wish the team and the coach the best of luck in the future.

Doesn't it seem at the least reasonable that if one coach is fired for their win/loss record, all coaches in the same county who are in the same boat should be? Honestly, it doesn't take that much intellect to research wins vs losses in all sports, average them by the games played and then take a look at the results. If losing records are what we base opinions as to the dismissal of coaches on, then it seems that we would need to clean house. If you actually think about it and then do the math, anyone with an ounce of sense could do nothing other than agree. Yes, there would be those few coaches who have had somewhat more of a "win" record ... and then I suppose their jobs would be "safe", but in a situation such as this, you must look at the whole... one coach compared to another keeping the math in mind here. I can fairly say that Pierce (whether you like him or not) is NOT the only coach in the county who is sailing the boat alone.

I hate to see any coach lose their jobs. All the coaches I know are dedicated individuals. Sometimes changes happen. We will wait and see how things workout.

that is true, once they closed it off no one really reads it. great idea, but the pierce & pep club controls more rhan just bb. Actually all I ever did was ban talking about Piperce in nonrelated threads. |
