dont get me wrong, I want the lady vols to win. I jsut think Pat needs to get over herself. And Pearl will have TN in the Final Four within the next 4 years. Thats a gaurantee.

I'm just gettin in on this convo and see that there is some talk about Summitt, so of course, I must comment. To put it nicely, Summitt is a d**e. Her and that DeMoss woman were obviously having fun together, and I dont mean playin 21. Pat is just a egotistical coach who is full of herself and will never win another NC as long as she lives. She thinks she is the stuff just cuz she got her name on the court. I'll think it will look alot better when they call it "The Pearl Summitt" puttin the REAL basketball coach first. Oh, and if you dont think she is egotistical, then explain to me why she wanted one of the new orange drapes that cover the tunnels taken down so that they could use their ballon tunnel? That is all. |

Summitt was more friendly with DeMoss than she was with her own husband, whom she has been seperated from for some time now. It was just an assumption that I believe has some merit from what a couple people that are close to the program have told me. I really didnt think too much about it until a certain person said that she may be, and this guy is one of the biggest Lady Vol fans you will ever meet. Like I said before though, I really hope the girls win it all every year, but Im a realistic person, and judging from the talent she has had recently, and the results in these most recent years, its not going to happen.

Well, the thing with her husband was in the Sentinel about a month or so ago. They have been seperated for close to 6 years now but are just now filing for divorce. As far as the Summitt and DeMoss thing, you could kinda tell just watchin them coach together, but a high ranking donor is who said there was a REAL possibility of that having some truth to it. |

True, Pat met with her team about a month ago and told them about her getting a divorce just before it went to the sentinel. Her hubby has been on campus with her quite often in the past couple of years, so I think it was more on and off again. But she has been seen with a certain male friend just in the past couple of weeks. I don't think there is much to that statement about her and Mickie. |

bigblue, I remember demoss' first year at UK, athletic director Mitch Barnhart was quoted in a lexington paper talking about demoss coaching under summitt, "I have seen Pat more up here since we hired Mickey, then I ever saw her when I was at Ut."
