The crowd was down from the first 2 weeks of this new year, but the fans who were there were very vocal throughout most of the night's matches.
Just a quick summary for those who missed out.
Jerry Lee retained the TV belt against Travis Sawyer; I've forgotten the circumstances but I think Danny Ray once again helped his man cheat to beat Travis.
Probably most importantly, it was announced Big Al is still recovering and was not there. It was also announced that Jeff Anderson has been "suspended indefinitely" for burning Robbie Race.
Also Stan Anderson had done an ok job filling in but the Board of Directors saw fit to name a new interim GM and that man is ... BILLY MARSHALL! (I cannot applaud this more strongly, he is great on the mic and beloved by the fans.) His first act was to let Ray Vandal know that he (Billy) is Ray's boss and to promise Vandal and Danny Ray's flagrant rule bending and rule breaking will not go on.
Kassie Rains fought Charles Long w/Donovan with all her heart but the UWA Legend was apparently about to finish her with a superkick when Daniels seemed to snap, charging the ring and attacking her, leading to Charles being disqualified. Donovan was yelling something about how he felt like Charles would've once again messed up. I think there will be a lot of explanation on 1/25.
Tracy Smothers teamed with "The King" Shane Williams to take on Donovan and the returning Scotty McKeever. The crowd was all over Donovan all night. It got worse when he faced off against Shane and Tracy, who the crowd was nuts for. I forget who won but one thing I remember. "DONOVAN SUCKS!"
Adamz & Dillinger vs. The Outlaws barely got started when Deal or No Deal hit the ring. They had earlier been DQ'd (I think) against the Lucky Charms. It was 4-on-2 when Lance & Rip ran out and evened the odds. When the dust settled new interim GM Billy Marshall declared next week there will be an 8-man tag match to settle the scores.
DRI vs. Heat Seekers match 2 was brutal again. The Seekers did not seem to be as angry or mouthy as these last couple of weeks. As a result the crowd didn't seem to get into it as much. However it was good to hear some fans still supporting V2 as well as cheers for Death Row as the match went on. Willie B. Badd was 1st eliminated, but Jason Maxx pinned Sigmon and then pinned Andrews to tie the series at 1-1.
