Congrats to the Owls and Coach Steve Rutherford on an impressive win. Does anyone know how the playoffs are looking. I understand that at 4-0, the Owls are the #1 seed in our division, but with the Eagles at 2-2 with tiebreaker over SMMS and HMMS, what seed will they be and who is the potential opponent?

It may come down to the overall record tie breaker depending on the two seed. How is North Anderson in the district?

Congrats to LMS in the egg bowl victory. This is the first time that they have taken the trophy home since 2002. I bet those guys at JMS will notice the empty spot in the trophy case & Im sure that will make them work extra hard in next years match-up!

It must have been a complete blow out. If someone would have told me this would be the final score before the season began, I would have thought they meant Jacksboro would win. Has Lafollette ever beaten them this badly? I know the eagles would beat Lafollette like this on a regular basis in the past.

Lafollette is a very well coached team. I think they have a shot at going deep in the playoffs!

I actually think LaFollette will be playing for the title this year. I haven't seen enough of the other district's teams to say how well they will do against them but if they playe like they did against Jacksboro then they have a good shot at winning.

wow!!! a cinplete butt kicking all teh way around... tehworst beating a lafollette football t4eam ever put on a jacksboro team since teh beginning of teh JR HIGH?MIDDLE SCHOOL concept... time to regroup in Eagle Land... maybe a rematch in the playoffs??? saw teh Eagle vs North AC and teh team didnt play like a true Jacksboro team... majorly disappointed but congrats to the owls and S Rutherford... quite possibly his first win ever as a coach vs Jacksboro... and congrats to teh rest of teh LMS staff too!!! good job!!! job well done!!!

It was Coach Rutherford's first win over Jacksboro. I can see LaFollette winning a title. If the Eagles can regroup and beat Webb and be ready for Robertsville we could see a playoff rematch.

Congrats to coach rutherford and his staff. I am very surprised by the score of the game however. LMS must have a pretty good group of kids this year. Hang in there eagles, bounce back and get in the playoffs. From what it looked like they will have to go to robertsville. HMM, that never happened when I was there!!! lol JMS can beat them though. I would like to see both teams get to play again, either in the playoffs or better yet in the championship game! Good luck to both of you!!

Good job to both teams. Clinton beat Robertsville by 2 touchdowns, Cherokee 22-0, and Avery Trace 22-8. Jacksboro and Lafollette meeting in the 2nd round is a good possibility. JMS coaches need to watch Webb's speed, at every position.
