*I have to say he has covered my kids very well during their sports careers ...BUT he does make a difference when it come to JMS and LMS...and like I said...and you Tebowfan....I DON't want to hear about JF White....now that his kids go there! **When LMS was upset in the beginning of the year....because there were NO mention of LMS beating JMS.......everyone should have known that this is why! ***Especially for the reason that LMS is having a fantastic year!! ****And it isn't over yet!....Track Time~  |

The only thing that I did not like about the whole thing was the way the media covered it. Sorry Pat this is the first time I have attacked you. I really felt that promoting the county was good, but LaFollette deserved its own recognition for their season. When I saw the picture with JMS but none with only LMS as Champions I was a little disturbed. Otherwise congrats to LMS on a successful season...it doesn't get easier so keep working in the future. ABSOUTLEY REDHOUND! I thought the LaFollette Press should have had ONLY the Owls on the front page and instead of it saying they "clipped the Eagles" it should've read "Undefeated Owls 20-0"! I gotta give Pat credit though he had a photo gallery! Owlsmom, Redhound, I have to agree with you about the Press. They can't even get their favorite team's game day right. Owls and Eagles both deserves more coverage....... I think Pat does a GREAT job and it makes me long for the locally own Volunteer Times |

Im going to take up for the press & pats site a little, I c where everyone is coming from, but you all should be greatful that there is any coverage for the middle schools, most places do not get any. Ive seen several papers in several towns & usually if middle school sports are covered at all it may be a very short summary & possibly a black & white photo lost in the middle of the section. I think they both do great jobs by making sure the middle schools get coverage.

Besides what Pat does...the Sports coverage in general in CC is flat out miserable. I like the Press' sports editor and all, and he may be doing all he can with the resources but it still is a terrible paper.

cant help but think that loss came just at the wrong time should have been sooner to get the kids heads in line sometimes a loss never hurts/// this one did!

I seen tonight on the coacht.com that Luke Farnam won all tournament up at Pigeon Forge. Also, Science Hill won the tournament. (The team that beat LaFollette). Congratulations LUKE!!!!!!!!!!! Hey Bigorange1, We went to watch that championship game and the Owls should've been in that game!! Science Hill came out flat and and was very vunerable in a man-to-man defense. IF is a very big word but I still think if we had played 2 minutes of the 3rd quarter like we did the 4th we would've been there tonight! Big shout out for Luke! It was a great game Sevierville cut it to 1 with 1 minute to go! Very exciting game! |

When I was working in Anderson Co. ...I, on a daily basis read their papers.....all their middle schools are well covered...colored pages and all. I could buy the Oak Ridger or the Clinton Courier....and read more about what one of my kids had done playing in LaFollette! I don't think being biased is pulling your best resources...JMS is usually pretty well covered...and JF White...if anyone cares?  ? The only time you don't hear much about JMS is when they lose to LMS! *Keep up the good work Pat! |

At least with track you can cover JMS and LMS at the same time because they are usually at the same meets. March 15th in Lenior City is the first, then at AC the 26th.
