Congrats to the LMS Owls for winning the District Championship tonight. As usual, the game was back and forth most of the contest, but the Owls pulled away at the end. Also, congrats to Jacksboro for finishing second. There was absolutely no shame in what they accomplished tonight.
Now the Eagles go on and play a sub-sectional game on Thursday night at Jacksboro. Don't know the opponent yet, but everyone needs to come out and support the Eagles.
The Owls will get a bye to the sectional tournament in Pigeon Forge. Who knows, maybe they will see each other again in Pigeon Forge.
One last note, it was great to see both teams together for some photos after the game. Most of these boys have spent most of their lives playing sports together and get along great.
If only the parents could get along as well as the players do, things would be much better.
