Records are made to be broken....but once you have broken one that is something you can be proud of forever...to break a record, team or individual is a major accomplishment....& of course the parents would be even more proud for their children

johnny bruce...tactician, preparation through scouting and filmstudy, game plan, motivational strength, practice tiem perfectionist...and too much more to post...of course I am a bit prejudiced but then again I know/think I am right on this one hand down...just ask anyone who played fo rhim and/or coached with him...

They should name the track at LaFollette after her. She has got to have the best winning percentage of any coach in the county. not a bad idea but they cant name the track after/for her...ie: teh johnny bruce fieldhouse at JMS... |

the football fieldhouse at JMS was a long term project that coach JB undertook and accomplished with little to no cost to the county...I think the county donated some guttering) ...all materials and labor were "recruited" by coach JB...I think everyone knows the Johnny Bruce/JMS football legacy...teh fieldhouse was named (and "labelled") in honor of Johnny Bruce as teh "Johnny Bruce Fieldhouse"...Coach Bruce did not name the fieldhouse...I am not actually sure who did...anyway, one day someone (during school hours) told Coach Bruce to look out at teh fieldhouse...teh maintainance department (with orders from higher ups) were painting over teh woirding on teh outside of teh building...it was later named "the Paul Gearing Fieldhouse"...coach Bruce had no objections to voice...it was either the school board or county commission that stated that a building shoudnt be named for someone who is still alive/teaching/coaching...ironic isnt it...johnny BRUCE helped KEN BRUCE get his first job in teh CC school system..

Thanks for defending me. Frankly I don't even worry when somebody doesn't have the heuvos to say something to me to my face and has to resort to thinking they are posting anonimously on one of my mesage boards. If I really wanted to know who the person posting was I can find out. IP addresses can tell you alot.
