Ever seen the movie replacements? Well, don't get your hopes up. I'm happy for the new comers and there big win over Clinton, but lets face reality. This wont last long, and I'm sure there performance was excelled by an unbelievable amount of adrenaline considering the circumstances, but it won't last. This isn't just about this years team and the so called "quitters" it's simply about Pierce's extremely pathetic record. And don't throw up the football records, we're talking about basketball and that's it. Anyone would have to be seriously stupid to say that he's a good coach. He's had one good team since his return and they were loaded with talent. The year before the sub-state they were decent but I can think of three games right of hand that his stall offense cost that team big games. And he's had talent since then so don't use that as an excuse. NO OTHER administration would leave a coach in his position for that long with the horrible records year after year, EXCEPT FOR CAMPBELL COUNTY. And it's because of the ignorance that I've been reading on here for the last 2 hours that nothing will change, as soon as it gets close to changing, the miraculous new team pulls out a big win and now everyone loves almighty pierce.
One last thought, everyone wants to make this about this years team only and those players quiting. BUT IT'S NOT Pierce has defiantly not performed and has lead 5 straight cougar teams to embarrassing records. And the whole situation with the 7 players just ignited an issue that was long overdue

this board is about sports ... not just basketball ....i think it's hilarious that our "guest" can't even admitt to the fact that football has been a joke for about 95% of their seasons and believe me ... i DON'T BLAME IT ON OUR PLAYERS ... i think we have players who could play with anybody ....

WOW my one request was to not bring up football. I never said anything about how good they are or aren't not once did I mention it. I agree that they've always been bad. I simply wanted to talk about and address the subject at hand. Because every single Pierce worshiper defends his record with the same quote over and over "look at the football team" I'm not the smartest man in the world, but I'm smart enough to know what this thread is about and that is whether or not Pierce is the best man for the job, and my previous post will defend why he clearly isn't.

At this point, what these partents attemted, when, and how is a 100 times worse that anything Pierce or administration has ever done combined.

that's just the point ... pierce didn't do anything any other coach wouldn't do ..... the administration simply supported their coach because he hadn't done anything wrong ..... if you got rid of every coach who "said a bad word" or told players that if they didn't like the way he was doing things to go to the house, then there wouldn't be any coaches anywhere ... that's what coaches do ..... all sports ... all coaches ... everywhere ..... the ones who let the parents run things are the ones who don't last long as a coach ...... as far as Ronnie Baby goes .... i feel real sad for his kids .. and those of us who know the facts know that if troy had been starting and playing the whole game everygame then he would be the number one fan in the crowd ..... it has always been soooo funny how parents always love the coach no matter who it is as long as their kid gets the playing time ...... i guess that's just nature for most ...... bottom line ... there is a right way and wrong way to handle things ... wrong isn't even the word to express how this situation was handled by the slip out seven's parents!! and to those parents ..... let me give you a little advide ... you can't put a whole lotta trust in what Judy Blevins tells you ... that was your first mistake .... i can assure you that as soon as she tells you one thing, she is telling the next person she talks to the opposite ... it's called politics .....

the miraculous new team pulls out a big win and now everyone loves almighty pierce. No they do not. If you observe it is the same four or five that repeat post same things over and over. Thinking is, that if you say it enough then maybe it will become true. AND some promise plyer12 that the new coach will allow him/her to still fill up the water cooler and fold towels on game nights PLEASE.!
