Well, my canidate orchestrated another fantastic BLOWOUT win last night against Tiger High and slick Johnny C. Chris Lofton accounted for half of the Vols scoring in the first half and finished with 34. Crews grabbed 10 rebounds and the Vols won 76-58. Crowd was awesome and the students were rowdy, really living up to their name, "The Rocky Top Rowdies"
With that, I just wanted to start a thread that kept up with THE basketball team in Tennessee.

Besides the Florida game last yr that was one of the best atmospheres I have been a part of in a while...Still many empty seats but the people that was there was LOUD! Over 4,000 students at the game...that's insane!!! Hopefully this will get us playing better...our schedule is brutal coming up!

the entire student section was full, and by entire i mean lower and upper decks, by about 7:45, which was about an hour and 15 mins before tipoff. Like ae2 said, the only other time I can remember that was for Florida last year. Im really wondering what it will look like for Texas 2 days before Christmas. School will be out and usually there are hardly any students. But then again, the games they usually play at that time are Poduke Universities.

As a fan of an arch rival school, I will be the first to say I thought UT played excellent last night. I thought that Chris Lofton was excellent, and his supporting cast stepped up as well. Should be interesting to see how people approach the Texas game. I have seen Texas on several occassions and they are not a very good basketball team.

Should be a good game. Texas will have last year in the back of their mind though.

Texas showed everyone how to beat LSU tonite, Play a stinking zone cause LSU cannot shoot. Texas has some talented freshman, One very talented guy in Durant, if he plays well he will give UT some problems. Western KY will be a nice change of pace and a different style for UT before the Texas game.

I just hope Lofton plays well, cause we really live and die by what he does.

Dane is impervious to pain. He is only puttin on a show for the spectators, keep things interesting. I fully believe that if Loft was shooting from the 50 yard line at Neyland he would be able to make a left handed hook shot blind folded with a tiger running at him and still make the shot.
