no one enjoys losing or even finishing second... some people focus on teh big overall picture which includes the competition and how UT fares at the end in comparison while others zoom in on the vols and focus only on that single aspect.. point is we all base out thoughts and philosophies in our own way... a lack of a championship is the main or maybe only concern of some fans...others lok at teh entire season and all games to pass a judgement...that is why some can accept a 9 or even a 10 win season while other will only settle for championships... where do you fall in these categories??

In the coming years I predict UT FOOTBALL WILL DROWN IN THE POOL OF MEDIOCRITY. is a top 25, a top 20, or a top 10 finish considered mediocrity.... or is it based only on championships?? drowning in mediocrity to me (my opinion---not trying to force feed anyone my opinions) would be to be like kenSUCKY or Candybilt football on a consistent basis...one season 0f 5 wins and 6 losses does not make a "pool" of any type...several years or een a decade of winning 9 to 10 games a seson shuld be considered " job well done"...even some teams that are a notch above the two aforementioned are considered to be "in a pool of mediocrity"... agai9n these ae my opinions and I am not trying to convince anyone of anything... HINT: READ THE NEXT SENTENCE IN A TONE THAT THE GREAT. LEGENDARY PERFECT PAT WOULD USE WHEN AT HIS SARCASTIC BEST. but I am an old man and the years have taught me much and my vast knowledge of all things are a reflection of the years of my life... (remember to read that sentence with a sarcastic tone...LOL...)

i'm a huge vol fan, and i wish that we could win a championship every year. untill the championship game is acually played i hope that there is a way that we can somehow be in that game nomatter what the record is, but regardless of that, i support the vols. after one year of terrible disappointments last year, look what the vols were able to accomplish during the off-season going into the 06-07 year, imagine the possibilities next year. 05-06 was a much needed wake up call that showed that we we're invincible as we thought we were, but we responded and now we're getting back to the ways the vols play. no matter who the coaches are, noone should criticize the coach, it's not our call who's coaching anyway, we should just stand behind them and support them nomatter what.
