Wow can we have one thread where Pierce isnt brought up? In this size of town and where most people are looking for our basketball team to return to the prominence of old, NO!

By prominece bigblue you mean not making it out of the regions except for one time. Yes CC used to be a tough place to play but its came and passed, no more Marlows in the county lets except were a middle of the road bball program at best!!!!!! No matter who is coaching. I guess we just agree to disagree bigblue. By the way how are UK fans with Tubby Smith? ??

I was disappointed in UT but at the same time if I have to lose to somebody I don't mind losing to Joe Pa. We beat ourselves really.

I just saw the comparison and made that point. The prominence of old reference timtebowfan was just to the fact that the cougs in past years were a tournament standard and now they can't even make them. That was a bad choice of words on my part. As sad as it sounds, unfortunately they are a middle of the road program right now. I would just really like to see them get back to where they were in the past, you know what I mean. I think the main thought was the fact that the program has fallen so far. Oh yeah, UK fans are like any other fans. Some are not happy unless you win it all and then some are realist and know the fact is, you can't do it every year!

Im sorry, I want appologize on the behalf of Robert Meachem for dropping 3 crucial passes. I also want to ask, why was LaMarcus Coker on the sidelines??? Kid is a freshman, if he is in the dog house, make him run his legs off in the summer, bench him for a half in Berkley, dont make him sit out the majority of the bowl game.
As for bigblue saying that everyone cares about the CC bball program, Im going to disagree. Personally it wouldnt bother me one bit if they won or lost every single game. Would be nice to see them win, but I'm not going to care one way or the other. It was just nice to argue for a couple of days, thats worn off now and I really dont care what happens with Pierce. The only team and coach that I care about on the hardwood are located in Knoxville, and Im not talking about everyones favorite . . . and a girl who cant really dunk. Tebow will know where I'm going with that.

i think the UT administration should look closely at fulmer's reccent years and put him on the hot seat, the vols need a change.

fulmer should hardly be on the hot seat. look how well we responded to from last year. won almost double the games we did last year. and last time i checked, fulmer's the one with the national title. you have to go back to neyland to find something like that in ut football. and 3 of the 4 teams we lost to this year were in the sec, arkansas, who had and outstanding season this year and played florida tough in the sec championship, lsu, who killed notre dame in the sugar bowl (a bcs bowl at that) and florida, who won the sec east and the sec championship, and who will be playing ohio state in the national champion ship. and if you look at the games we lost, we would have one them if it wasn't for mental mistakes. we had florida, lsu, and penn state all beat really. we were bout to score then untill that fumble that was returned for a touchdown. arkansas was really the only team that dominated us this year. but watch out for ainge next year, if he can improve 1/3 as much this off-season as he did last, you just watch out for the vols to do some good stuff. not just in the sec, but in the national spotlight as well. fulmer is here to stay!

that's what's wrong with college football these days, fans turn on their teams and coaches, look at miami, got rid of their coach after everything he's done with them b/c he had one bad season, a season that still yet ended with a bowl win. if you ask me, it's not the schools that need the new coaches, alot of the times its the teams that need new fans who stand behind them and support them nomatter what. tennessee probally has some of the worst fans in any sports. look at the titans. there was a website to get rid of jeff fisher and now look at what they're doing. tennessee fans just need to get over it and support their teams, we have some of the best teams/coaches/players around. i don't see any of us doing what the coaches are doing, it's a little bit harder then it looks!

I support my teams, but the Fulmer Kool-Aid wears thin after consistently going to second teir bowl games and always hearing promises of hard work during the off season and better preparation for games.
