Ok folks there have been some heated debates on here and that is great, by all means continue them(without being ugly to each other of course). But I think its time for a fun thread.
What is your favorite sports movie and why?

My personal favorites are Mystery, Alaska(hockey) and Friday Night Lights.
I like Mystery, Alaska because it is the best hockey movie since Slapshot and I like FNL because it is so real.

One of the best has to be, "Hoosiers". Awsome movie.

"friday Night Lights"..."Rudy"...for football
"Major League" for baseball

Remember the Titans, Days of thunder, and I'm not even a big Nascar fan, , Major League, Happy Gilmore, Varsity Blues and of course Teen Wolf (the best movie about werewolves playing basketball ... ever)

No Doubt Pride of the Yankees Gary Cooper movie way back when hah great baseball movie. The Natural right behind that then Major Leauge for baseball. Football Little Giants hah Golf Caddy Shack ;D

Forgot about "Caddy Shack", one of the all time greats.
When you really think about it, there are tons of great sports movies. You can pick just about any sport and just reel off several movies.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS IS A GREAT FOOTBALL MOVIE,BUT I THINK HOOSIERS IS THE BEST SPORTS MOVIE OVER ALL.
